According to the Orlando Sentinel, Penny Hardaway wants to be part of the Miami Heat "Super Roster." Hardaway, who is about to turn 39 years old has not played an NBA Game since December of 2007.

I've always really liked Penny as a player but i think this could be a really bad idea. Just wouldn't like to see him embarrass himself (unless of course it's at the expense of the Heat  ;D). What do yall think?

His last time on an NBA roster was in 2007, when he was released to make room for...Luke Jackson.  Next topic.

He's got too much character to fit into that roster.

O'Grady...Iverson...Latrine Sprewell...JR Rider...Tank Carter..There's all kinds of great talents who would fit in better.

So now we even have people coming out of retirement to try to joint the Heat. ::)

Rony Seikaly and Bimbo Coles are gonna shore up the Center and PG spots.

If they're raiding the old folks home for bodies, they'd be better off with Zo or even Rony Seikaly for big men with old Heat connections

I'd sort of like to be on the "super roster", too, so long as the Heat allow me to sit out games against the Celts.  I'll donate (post-tax) 75% of my $478k salary to charity, as well.

If they're smart they'll hold out for Sherman Douglas.

Seikaly is somehow responsible for Pau Gasol´s NBA career. At the end of his career he was hired by Barcelona to be their franchise player but he left the team three months later unhappy with Barcelona´s coach. Being a bad moment to hire a new American player, Barcelona decided to give a chance to a young PF that was playing in their second team. The guy turned out to be Gasol. Three months later Gasol was the MVP in the Spanish Cup, four months after the Cup he won the MVP and the Spanish League and soon after that he was drafted by Memphis.

He should be grateful to Rony Seikaly forever and ever.

I'll be extremely disappointed if Reggie Miller even contemplates joining the Heat.

Penny is same age as Grant Hill. Maybe that was his motivation.
