I laughed when I read this.  Really? Didn't we try this before Penny?  What fantasy world does he live in?

Nothing against the guy and he was once great, but lets just be realistic here.  Miami should absolutely accept veterans who can contribute and are chasing a ring, guys like Eddie House and Stackhouse, but forget guys like T-Mac and Penny.  Don't need them riding the coattails.  Keep the rookies on the bench instead and give them experience, maybe some PT in blowout situations, and practice time with guys like LeBron, Wade, and Bosh who they can learn from and look up to.

I hear Willie Burton wants to comeback too. No word on Grant Long or Pearl Washington.

Next thing you know Vin Baker and Alonzo Mourning might be looking to make a comeback.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Actually I was thinking they might try to talk Zo into returning. Honestly he would be better than Big Z or Shaq if he has stayed in shape.

I think it is time they brought back Harold "Baby Jordan" Miner.

If this team doesn't work out you will see Pat Riley yelling at a news conference "Glen Rice isn't walking through that door, Sherman Douglas isn't walking through that door, and Rony Seikaly isn't walking through that door."

He's got too much character to fit into that roster.

O'Grady...Iverson...Latrine Sprewell...JR Rider...Tank Carter..There's all kinds of great talents who would fit in better.

"Latrine" Sprewell - LOL!

Now that was funny, my man ;D

Why not just bring back three or four of the original expansion picks from '88?  I hear Fred Roberts still has game.

1988 Expansion Draft

Miami
1.  Arvid Kramer (Dallas)
3.  Billy Thompson (LA Lakers)
5.  Fred Roberts (Boston)
7.  Scott Hastings (Atlanta)
9.  Jon Sunvold (San Antonio)
11. Kevin Williams (Seattle)
13. Hansi Gnad (Philadelphia)
15. Darnell Valentine (LA Clippers)
17. Dwayne Washington (New Jersey)
19. Andre Turner (Houston)
21. Conner Henry (Sacramento)
23. John Stroeder (Milwaukee)

That is a talented bunch.  I always feel empty when an expansion draft steals one of your players.  Like in 2004 when Charlotte stole the next Charles Barkley; Brandon Hunter.

So now we even have people coming out of retirement to try to joint the Heat. ::)

Rony Seikaly and Bimbo Coles are gonna shore up the Center and PG spots.

I loled for a loooooong time after reading this!  :)

He wishes it was the one where he never got hurt, lead Orlando to the Finals without Shaq, and went on to have a HOF career...

...and so do I.  :'(
