Perhaps, TA does not wish to play under Doc, due to his preferences for the so-called Big Four.

I'm guessing Tony wanted a bigger role, but he won't get that in Memphis being behind  OJ Mayo and Rudy Gay.  If TA left because it wasn't about the money I have no idea why he left.  

I wonder what problem TA had  with the team?

thats sad to hear..even through the worst times that tony had, i still always liked him a lot and its a shame to hear danny something like that because it means tony did walk away from us

I think Tony Allen believes he's better than he really is and while I appreciated his effort he's better served on a bad team where his weaknesses don't impact big playoff games.

He had to potential to be before all of those injuries. I remember when Pierce went down and was out for a while and tony stepped in was dropping 20 ppg and 5 rpg during that stint. It was a great time for him until he was sidelined with the severe knee injury

You never know when TA would end back up in Doc's dog house. Although I hate to see him go, it was probably a good move for Tony.

I think Tony Allen believes he's better than he really is and while I appreciated his effort he's better served on a bad team where his weaknesses don't impact big playoff games.

Yeah but his role isn't going to be much bigger in Memphis being behind OJ Mayo and Rudy Gay than it was here except he could get more run at the point because Rondo obviously better than Conley there for they would need TA to play at the backup point more so.

Well I was reading some of the threads in the Memphis forums and it seems like they think the Grizz are going to try to play OJ Mayo at the point now. This would open up room for TA in their starting lineup.

Hey I would defend TA to the limit (while he was a C) but, I'm not going to be heartbroken that he thinks he worth more than Ainge is willing to give him.
