You have to love Twitter when it comes to sports! Constant updates! I just received the following Tweet regarding former Lakers forward Adam Morrison:

@AlexKennedyNBA Adam Morrison workout getting ready to start. The Bulls Celtics, Clippers, and Cavaliers are among teams in the building.

What do you people think? Low risk high reward type signing? My expectations would be minimal at best. Morrison is still young. Worth a look in my opinion.

"I'm just surprised he wasn't whining about the foul calls." - Glen "Doc" Rivers (6-11-08)

He was one of my favorite players in college.

I guess if it's him vs another random d league guy that I've never heard of I'd rather have him.

Is he eligible for the d league? or has he spent too many years in the NBA.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

The only reason I could see for wanting him on the team is to come off the bench in Game 7 and embarrass the Lakers the way Artest did to us.
Never stop believing baby~

Ha. I was going to go with "low risk, low reward".

  • You know my methods, Watson.
If he comes here he will be handed 1) a pen to sign the contract, and 2) M.L.'s towel.  IMO he's useless...

to be honest, POB wasn't bad in my opinion, he just wasn't given enough opportunities

Shelden and Daniels were good the first half of the season until we benched them throughout the 2nd half, they were cold...i don't blame them...

i mean when Daniels did well against Lebron in the season opener, came back and helped in Orlando in X-Mas, nobody complained...

I think the last two non-active roster spots (#14&15) should go to CBers on rotating 10 day contracts.  I'm pretty sure that, if called upon, even the most cranky curmudgeons (hi, vinnie) could cheer, towel-wave, and not hurt anyone in practice.  That would put any of us on equal footing with the 14-15th man of recent seasons.

Besides, I can't afford decent seats and could really use a break.

If you don't think getting to see that hair flopping and that wispy stash in garbagetime...or in a suit, dancing to Gino, then I don't know what to tell you.  To me, that is absolutely worth the veteran minimum.

I'm going to break this down with my logic.

1. The Lakers were a championship team.
2. Morrison didn't even sniff the court for the Lakers.

Now, those are irrefutable facts.  The same logic can be said for the Celtics.  The Celtics want to be a championship team, and by there moves this off season, they are planning to be.  How does Morrison help if he couldn't help the Lakers?  Unless he is the last man on the bench like he was in Hollywood, it makes no sense.
