Really expected since he is at the point where he would sign cheaply and he has such a great relationship with Lebron.

Def past the point where he would still make sense in Clev.

solid pick up for Miami.  They are starting to round out a bit.

Nice signing. Big Z will give them a quality fourth big in the depth chart.

5-10 minutes a night is all they need from him.

Give Miami a bigger body to throw against the Lakers in the Finals too. That is important.

They're just killing it so far. Really nice additions and, presumably, more to come.

So you've got a clear Miami-Boston-Orlando axis at the top of the east, in some order.
And then probably Atlanta-Chicago-Milwaukee-Cavs.

Looks like a strong conference next year.

Agree 100 percent regarding Miami killing it -- Haslem, Miller and Big Z signed, Anthony and Chalmers already on board to go with Wade, Bosh and James. I will be shocked if they do not have the best record in the east by at least 8 games and I really think they will win the championship.
Ditto -- Miami are the team to beat.

Yeah, Miami continues to get the depth needed to get a title. I hope we see a Boston/Sheed deal soon. Our depth has 3 big holes right now -> back up PG, a wing superior to Tony Allen, and 1 more big to compensate for Perk's injury.

I think Z will help them in that he can hit open jumpers. If they wanted their 5 to play defense, rebound, or run the floor they are out of luck.

Zydrunas won’t have to do too much of that with Lebron, Wade, and Bosh. Just be solid and hit the open jumper. No need to have a running Center.

Bringing back Nate should solve our back up pg problem; but yeah DA really needs to work magic with that Sheed contract to make our bench strong.

Heat's roster def is starting to look very good, and tho I am being a little impatient, I won't really start to worry about them till I see how our final roster looks like.

Not the best kind of Center you want with these guys.  Extremely slow and showing rapid signs of decline.

Maybe his mid-range jumper will work well with Wade/LBJ's drive to the hoop game.

At least all 3 of top teams other than the Celts in the east our in the same division. That means the C's are lock for the 2 seed no matter what.

All Z has to do it secure defensive rebounds and hit open jumpers. They don’t need everyone running the break at once.

Plus they have Udonis who might be the best role playing big in the league.

Miami is starting to get scary.

Very good call, i love that change in the NBA.

Unless of course The Big Three of Felton, Gallinari, and Stoudemire can take us out  8)

This is the part that always confuses me.

So let me get this straight. Even if we have less wins than Magic, Heat, and Hawks, as long as we win our division, we will still get the number 2 seed for the post season?

A LeBron call no doubt and one that will hurt them.  He is always hurt and can't D up but a helluva a nice guy.

Yes for seeding but I believe homecourt goes to the better record.

For about a year or 2 that was the rule. The current rule:

The top 4 seads in each conference go to the division winners plus one wild card team.

You could see:

1. Miami 64 wins
2. Orlando 60
3. Boston 52
4. Chicago 49
--------
5. Atlanta 54
6. Milwaukee 46
7. Charlotte 44
8. New York 36
--------

He'll only hurt them if the Cavs are counting on him to play a big role.  As the second or third center off the bench, I think he'll be competent.

Not surprised at all.  I was expecting this.  He'll make a good backup center.  I don't think he'd be a good fit as the starter, though.  Still, they could do a lot worse for the vet. minimum.

Chalmers
Mike Miller
Haslem
Big Z

Not such a bad supporting cast, huh?
