I think Z will help them in that he can hit open jumpers. If they wanted their 5 to play defense, rebound, or run the floor they are out of luck.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Dan Gilbert is warming up the Comic Sans for another "betrayal" rant.

On the bright side, my late season FA pickup of Z in my fantasy leagues is looking like it might pay off.

He will at least spread the floor and clear the lanes on offense. The only reason they signed him is because Bosh has a clause in his contract that states he can't be the oldest looking guy on the team.

I see why James had a hard time in Cleveland if this is the best that he can recruit.

I would love for the Celtics to have a "Delonte West Look Alike" contest on the night Miami comes to town.

Nice signing. Big Z will give them a quality fourth big in the depth chart.

5-10 minutes a night is all they need from him.

Give Miami a bigger body to throw against the Lakers in the Finals too. That is important.

Haha, I searched "Big Z to Miami" in Google when I saw it on ESPN's bottomline on TV and found this thread.  :D

Anyways, I can't say I'm surprised at this signing. I thought this would happen.

Haha.  I don't buy into that rumor about Delonte and James' mom, but that would be worth it just to see everybody in the Garden simultaneously doing their best Delonte impersonation.  TP.

I'm surprised Z and Mike Miller have been so willing to give up millions of extra dollars to play for the Heat.  It'll be interesting to see what happens if the team isn't as wildly successful as they expect.

The Heat now have a starting center and back ups at the 3 and the 4.  They still need a LOT more size and they need somebody like DFish who can defend and shoot, but the roster's already better than I expected it to be.

They're just killing it so far. Really nice additions and, presumably, more to come.

So you've got a clear Miami-Boston-Orlando axis at the top of the east, in some order.
And then probably Atlanta-Chicago-Milwaukee-Cavs.

Looks like a strong conference next year.

David Aldridge says Boston was in the mix for Ilgauskas...didn't know that.

Agree 100 percent regarding Miami killing it -- Haslem, Miller and Big Z signed, Anthony and Chalmers already on board to go with Wade, Bosh and James. I will be shocked if they do not have the best record in the east by at least 8 games and I really think they will win the championship.

Ditto -- Miami are the team to beat.
