Bradley will be playing some 1 and 2. If we bring Nate back then Bradley is playing more 2 so he is a wing substitution. DA and Doc said his defense is NBA ready and I suspect he sees at least 8 minutes a game this year, at least 8 and probably 12.
So I will say Bradley sees 8 mpg at PG and another 4-5 mpg at SG playing with Rondo. That means there is about 30 - 35 minutes max at the wing spot available if we assume Ray and Paul play at least 28 MPG.
48 minutes at both SG and SF = 96 minutes.
Allen = 28
Pierce = 28
Avery = 5
Thats 61 between those three which means 96 - 61 = 35 tops and it will probably be a smaller number because Ray leads the big three in minutes every year and I see both him and Paul somewhere between 30-33 mpg.
Anyways back to 35 mpg leftover. We likely only need a guy who can give us 20-22 mpg and maybe another guy who can give us 10 -12. Lets assume the Sheed contract is used on a wing like Josh Howard or someone like that who can give us 12 ppg and 20 mpg. I think the other wing spot at 10-12 mpg could be filled by guys like Hughes, Stackhouse, or even Richardson (put your animosity aside, the guy can spread the floor and least be a body to guard bigger wings). Hughes can handle the ball and be serviceable. Stackhouse played the Michael Finley role for Milwaukee a lot better than Finley did for us. I would take Richardson if he is all thats left.
Clearly the guy who takes this role on has to be a vet min signing. Stackhouse is a guaranteed vet min signing at this point in his career and a guys like Hughes or Richardson might have to be ones later on into free agency if no other team offers them more.
If Nate comes back then he will be this guy and then we can use the Sheed contract on our 18-22 mpg bigger wing, sign a vet min nog guy like Kurt Thomas who will be the fifth big when Perk is back and be set for the year.
As long as we can move the Sheed contract I like the position the C's are in.
Update: Q-Rich to Orlando.
Would really like Matt Barnes or Roger Mason JR but both are likely out of our price range and I see San Antonio grabbing on of them.
