Bradley will be playing some 1 and 2. If we bring Nate back then Bradley is playing more 2 so he is a wing substitution. DA and Doc said his defense is NBA ready and I suspect he sees at least 8 minutes a game this year, at least 8 and probably 12.

So I will say Bradley sees 8 mpg at PG and another 4-5 mpg at SG playing with Rondo. That means there is about 30 - 35 minutes max at the wing spot available if we assume Ray and Paul play at least 28 MPG.

48 minutes at both SG and SF = 96 minutes.
Allen   = 28
Pierce = 28
Avery  =  5

Thats 61 between those three which means 96 - 61 = 35 tops and it will probably be a smaller number because Ray leads the big three in minutes every year and I see both him and Paul somewhere between 30-33 mpg.

Anyways back to 35 mpg leftover. We likely only need a guy who can give us 20-22 mpg and maybe another guy who can give us 10 -12. Lets assume the Sheed contract is used on a wing like Josh Howard or someone like that who can give us 12 ppg and 20 mpg. I think the other wing spot at 10-12 mpg could be filled by guys like Hughes, Stackhouse, or even Richardson (put your animosity aside, the guy can spread the floor and least be a body to guard bigger wings). Hughes can handle the ball and be serviceable. Stackhouse played the Michael Finley role for Milwaukee a lot better than Finley did for us. I would take Richardson if he is all thats left.

Clearly the guy who takes this role on has to be a vet min signing. Stackhouse is a guaranteed vet min signing at this point in his career and a guys like Hughes or Richardson might have to be ones later on into free agency if no other team offers them more.

If Nate comes back then he will be this guy and then we can use the Sheed contract on our 18-22  mpg bigger wing, sign a vet min nog guy like Kurt Thomas who will be the fifth big when Perk is back and be set for the year.

As long as we can move the Sheed contract I like the position the C's are in.

Update: Q-Rich to Orlando.

Would really like Matt Barnes or Roger Mason JR but both are likely out of our price range and I see San Antonio grabbing on of them.

Quentin Richardson is still a good role player. Rebounds the ball well, plays serviceable defense and is a good shooter. I would be happy with him.

I think the other two are finished ... although Stackhouse did play well for the Bucks, but not a rotation player, more a fifth wing in the depth chart type.

Guys like this will have a good chance of slipping through the rush going on now, and could be looking for vet minimum contracts come August.  That is when Danny could really fill in the end of the roster nicely.

I have a very, very tough time believing Pierce and Allen are only going to play 28 mpg.  They played over 36 mpg last year.  I'd say 32 is more realistic, and unfortunately, I don't think that's even going to happen.

Those three would be OK.  But I really think we need Howard.  We need someone who can be a game changer, and he can do that.  Any of those three would be OK insurance though.  Q-Rich probably appeals the most, but can he and PP bury the hatchet?

Stackhouse looked a lot better then I thought he would last year. He looked pretty Spry for his age and definitely seemed to be a part of Milwaulkee exceeding expectations. I think he would either stay there or retire unfortunately. He said something towards the end or after the season about not being sure if he had the desire any more.

If there is a player in the NBA who has more bad blood with Pierce than Q. Richardson, you're going to be hard pressed to find him.

I like Q Rich because nobody has talked about him so he may be available.  However if he signs for the minimum then why wouldn't he just stay in south beach?

Not very excited about these three.  We're gonna miss Tony.

Yeah they played him a lot of minutes last year when they were a playoff team so its hard to think they hate him. I guess its possible he feels he would get more minutes backing up Pierce then Lebron (which is true). However, its hard to see him leaving miami where he is comfortable (remember the guy was traded 4 times last offseason) for a slightly smaller amount of money (income tax factor) to play with a guy he hates (pierce).

Minutes?

The Mike Miller signing doesn't leave a lot of minutes available on the wing.

Then again, PP and Ray don't exactly leave a lot of minutes.  It gets worse if Howard comes on board.

The subject line of this message TERRIFIED me.

I thought these three were teaming up to form another Super Team.

One Miami is enough!

I think the best spot for Richardson would be a team like Orlando because he is a spot up three point shooter.  His value would increase by being on a team like Orlando and I don't think Barnes is going to be back.

q-rich is fat and stupid. thankfully, the magic just signed him, making them worse.

if they did this in lieu of signing redick (which i doubt), otis smith has been doing too many whip-its.

and if the cs could have pried away redick for the meager money the bulls offered, i'll start borrowing em from otis....

Stack has said on NBATV that he’ll sign a minimum contract to play for a ring. He could come in as the next Michael Finley and maybe he can be more.
