1. Cleveland
2. NJ
3. Boston -- We lost Perk until Feb at earliest, Sheed has retired and no guaranty we'll have anything to show for it; Tony Allen is gone; our only new talent is a center who was pretty bad in playoffs and has bad knees. We are not looking to good so far.
Agreed -- Boston has worked it's way onto this list. This has been a horrific off-season.
Could you clarify this post? I normally agree with a lot of your points but, you appear taking hyperbole to a level never seen before unless I've missed a few things.
(1) Turned down the opportunity to rebuild
(2) Gave Pierce four years and hurt the opportunity to rebuild down the road + hurt Rondo's future with the Celtics post Big Three
(3) Wasted the MLE on Jermaine O'Neal
(4) LeBron, Wade and Bosh teamed up in Miami to create the best team in the East.
(5) Tony Allen left on a reasonable deal which there was no reason not to offer once Pierce was paid
(6) The value of Sheed's retiring contract looks iffy. The trade market is not promising + the number of trade exceptions floating about puts more competition on the market and thus lowers the relative value of his deal.
The Celtics championship hopes took a huge blow the minute LeBron went to Miami + their medium term future took a huge hit by refusal to rebuild and then the Pierce contract.
The addition of Jermaine O'Neal was very disappointing. Not the upgrade I was hoping to see.
