Fisher used that as an excuse and the media ate it up (Jazz fans smartly didn't). If LA had someone else coaching that team and Kobe had been traded to the Bulls, I wonder just how good the hospitals in LA would be.

Yeah those that questioned that story did at their own peril because you know 'it's best for the kid'.  No one really believed it though (even the people arguing in his defense).  I'm sure someone will come up with another lame excuse about Miami having great hospitals as well as if they don't in Utah like it's a 3rd World country or something. lol

I heard Utah has like one air port and it only has 1 plane and it's one of those old Wright Brothers style planes. So getting out of Utah takes about a week unless you have chartered planes like every NBA team.

Actually this is one of the times that a guy was honest. "Who" is correct in that Fisher's daughter was in seriously bad shape but has really stabilized her condition. So it is reasonable to expect he could leave LA for that reason.

My buddy has season Jazz tickets, says everybody in Utah knew that was just an excuse for Fisher to get out of his contract.


And I actually heard Fisher's daughter was getting treatment in NYC, not LA.




You can just google something with key words like "Fisher daughter excuse", and see various articles and threads debating the situation.  Some defend him, some accuse him. 

I think the main parts people argue are:

1.  Fisher was traded to the Jazz, he never wanted to play there.  It's not like he chose to play there signing as a free agent.
2.  Fisher's daughter got her main treatments in NYC, not LA.
3.  Utah has some of the top doctors in the country for this treatment.

I don't know if any of these are actually facts, but it's the main points I see brought up.

He could be considered a super-star in terms of being a glue guy and a facilitator.

Regarding the Derek Fisher from Utah to LA thats been debunked so many times, Derek Fisher was flat out lieing his way out of Utah and everyone knows it.

He is not a class act like he wants to project him self as.. he's just like everyone else..

Fisher is a dirt bag, he has absolutely no class and manipulated that situation to play for the Fakers. If he goes to the Heat, he is just doing the same, but I doubt he leaves LA.
