Quick update.

David Stern has just fined me $100,000 for my comment about the officials.

Luckily, King Midas says he has it covered.

Because of all the deities in the room, with my Wild Card pick I choose the famous God Killer himself, Friedrich Nietzsche.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Solid outside the box pick. TP awarded. Take that, God!

Its like Rock Paper Scissors. Nietzsche beats God, God beats Bill the Butcher, Bill the Butcher beats Nietzsche.

Playoffs baby! Matchups are key.

David Stern suspends and fines all three.

Yeah Stern is a real wildcard. All the power of God, none of the philosophical conundrum.

Basketball player, soldier, genius, pilot, pastor, wrestler, explorer, TV Host, politician, woman, man, housewife, miner, professor, detective ... you name it, he was ALL of them, (and more)! The single most versatile and multi-talented human in the history of mankind ... and the man with absolutely no equal, The Bahku Dahek M.I.'s fifth-round pick and selection for "80's TV Character", (premiering in 1989), is none other than time-traveller, scientist, ultimate Sub and "Any-Man" ...

... Sam Beckett, from "Quantum Leap" (Played by Scott Bakula, who also played original Captain of the Enterprise in "Star Trek Enterprise" ;)).

Maybe I'm just getting a little insecure, but I'm sensing my team doesn't have a whole lot of locker room presence at this point.  Yes, Larry's a legend, and Warren Coolidge looked good in his orange uniform, but Bill the Cat and Andre the Giant really were soft hearted until provoked to madness.  Our squad needs an intimidator - someone larger than life.  A cruel ****, who's legend has grown way past the actual monstrosities he commit while I'll.  For our 5th Round selection Redz' Razers  (that's our new name) select:

VLAD "THE IMPALER" TEPPES (aka Vlad Dracula)

Quote
Vlad the Impaler, the Prince of Wallachia was born in 1431 at a time when his lands were under the control of the Ottoman Empire and as his father’s second he was held hostage as a boy with his younger brother Radu. After the deaths of his father and older brother he took the throne at the age of 17. The beginning of his rule was spent ridding Wallachia of those who were threats to his power. His favorite means of execution was impalement in which a stake is inserted into the body and left upright until the stake makes its way through the body, a slow and painful death that could last for days. While accounts vary, the amount of people who suffered by his hand range between 40,000 and 100,000 (most were tortured in some form) and it is said that when an invading Ottoman army found the forest of corpses outside Targoviste they turned and fled. Vlad died in a battle near Bucharest in 1476 and was buried at Snagov Monastery, although archeologists have been unable to find his burial site. A strict defender against Turkish rule, even today Vlad is considered a hero to the people of Romania. In 1897 he was immortalized as a blood sucking vampire in Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

You may now get in line for your impaling

80's TV Character: Al Bundy

He's a chronic complainer, he hates "business time" with his wife", but man...is he funny. He once scored 4 touchdowns in a single game while playing for Polk High, including the last second score to win the city championship right in Spare Tire Dixon's face. Maybe he doesn't have any superpowers, but this is my party and I want Al Bundy on the VIP list. I will listen to him crack on Bill The Butcher all day long. Or at least until Bill paints paradise square with his blood.....Two coats!
