I know this will prob not happen, but a tiny little part of me is rooting for Chicago (mostly as a result the free agency circuse, Thibs, and me being a fan of D. Rose) so I couldn't help it:

Chicago Trades:
Luol Deng
Taj Gibson
James Johnson

Denver Trades:
Carmelo Anthony

Money works: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2b2mkym

Why Chicago does it: Duh. They get an all-star in Melo, and form a new core with Rose / Melo / Boozer/ Noah. That's not shabby by any means.

Why Denver does it: They get a nice prospect in Gibson. And while he's not Melo, Deng can produce good numbers and could be a good fit with Chauncey.

Trade forum isn't only exclusive to the Celtics. I can "theorize" about other teams should I choose too.

Beside, at the moment Rondo is are only tradeable asset (I think we're dropping the ball with Sheed's contract at the moment) and I don't want to think about parting with him.

Isn't Melo about to accept an extension? Why would Denver trade Melo when he's just about to sign a massive extended contract with them?

Puzzling!?!

He hasn't signed anything yet, and supposedly he wants out to play in NY. So why can't Chicago get in on the mix?

Duh?  You just hired a defensive minded coach.  You propose they trade away arguably their best defensive player who is also a man of character along with arguably their best prospect for somebody who plays no defense and has character issues?

Boozer is another sieve defensively but the Bulls are obviously gambling firstly he'll actually play and secondly, he'll outscore his opposing 4 on most nights.  Pairing him with Anthony with Thibodeau as coach would equal a train wreck.

Duh....No.

Are you kidding?
Before Ray and Paul got with Thibs, they weren't exactly defensively player of the year material. The knock on Melo's "character" issues is a fallback complaint when people can't find anything else - since Chauncey gotten to Denver, Melo's definitely become more of a leader for that squad.

So yes, I'd trade Deng's too long, too high contract for 30ppg scorer in Melo.
That's like telling Detroit not to attempt to trade Ben Gordon for Brandon Roy.

Well neither has Bosh or LeBron, that doesn't mean it isn't going to happen. Proposing a trade for a guy that has already agreed to sign an extension that he absolutely needs to sign because if he doesn't he might be going to lose maybe tens of millions of dollars because of what the new CBA and letting his current contract run out would mean in a new financial environment.

Hey if you're a Bulls fan, good for you and good try in trying to make your team better, though I think doing this to make them better is debatable but propose something that might actually have a snowball's chance in hell of happening because this doesn't. Melo is signing on long term with the Nuggets.

Well, I did mention a few days back in another thread that I felt that 'Melo would be a dream fit for Chicago and then should continue to explore moving Deng if they can.  I've beaten it to death but I don't like Deng's fit on the Bulls at all and even with the addition of Boozer, they are still going to have problems at the 2/3.

Great trade idea.  I don't necessarily think it'll happen but I like where your mind is at for what Chicago should attempt to do.  'Melo would be ideal for Chicago.

Denver would have to get some better talent back then just Deng and CHI's B grade prospects. Otherwise you don't give up a superstar. Maybe if CHI sent to first rounders with Deng, DEN thinks about it.

I do think Melo's bad boy rep is overstated, but they just signed Korver in CHI, so I think they are OK if Deng can embrace lock down defender mentality. Thibs could bring that out. Don't know his offensive game to say if he'll be a good 4th option.

I'm almost certain Denver would laugh at that offer. They could get much much more for Melo. We were debating Rondo for Melo on this board.
