Hawk's Recieve:
Rasheed Wallace's Contract
2011 1st or 2nd rd pick

Celtic's Recieve:
Marvin Williams

Logic behind this is with Crawford/Horford/Teague/Evans off the books next year, they go after melo next offseason and resign Horford.

Gives them a lineup of bibby, johnson, melo, josh smith, horford. Thats a title contender. Not sure how melo's situation will shake out, but if he's open to ATL I don't see how he could pass up a chance to play with such talent.

Celtics do this for obvious reasons. Gives us a solid 6th man who can spread the floor and attack the basket.

Yes please.

I think this is one of the best uses of Sheed's contract. The Hawks are paying big bucks right now to Joe Johnson, and there is some concern about what to do with Childress.  It'd be cheaper for the Hawks to bring Childress back and trade Williams.

Celtics fan for life.

Yup seems good. Let's see if the Hawks are interested.

I see us looking at a 2 year contract type player.

IMO, Danny is putting us in a position to secure a max level player to replace Ray during Kevin's free agent year.

You guys are NUTS.  I would not want to enable ATL to be a title contender in the EC.  For Williams?  No thanks.

Did I miss something?

How does taking away one of a teams starters for a late first-round/second-round pick and a retiring player make ATL any better?

Yeah, this trade just allows them to sign Childress to replace him.  Williams is the better player.

Sheed, BBD, and Tony Allen(5mil 2 year) for Big Al and Damien Wilkins(2mil 2year)

Minny gets rids of Al's contract and gets a vet that can play SG/SF in their young backcourt. Plus BBD can be a banger next to Kevin Love or off the bench.

Boston gets a bigger PF that can score and relearn the team D. Plus a good SF/SG to play those limited minutes behind Ray and Pierce
Can't stop, Rondo!
