With all due respect to the thread starter, LA will never be the lesser of two evils in my book. I would rather see Wade and company win numerous championships than the Lakers.

Absolutely correct...and besides, the celtics will win in the playoffs. Not enough on Miami aside from their impressive big three.

Tp for your correct world view. :)

ditto

I'm Lebron's #1 fan when he's up against Kobe

Ditto.  I'm a fan of the Boston Celtics and who ever are facing the Lakers.

Not this year, and likely not next year with the lockout.  Maybe in 2012-2013.
Yeah, Miami are definitely breaking 70 wins with that team ... once they have a good supporting cast in place in a year or two.

They are going to run riot on the league.
Oh yes, the C's have a chance this year.

But after that they're going to pile up rings.

as much as it pains me to say this, this celtics fan will root for LA, the lesser of two evils, because there is no way those ball-hogs are contending with the length of bynum/pau/odom or beating our defense ... i just cant see it
Huh? Ball-hogs? Are you familiar with Lebron James, who has a history of being critiqued for passing too much to inferior teammates? Lebron is definitely not a ball hog. He has always shown a willingness to pass far more than, say, Ray Allen or Paul Pierce. And I don't consider our 2 guys ball hogs.

Lebron may be a tool for having that hour long program, but try to critique him base on the reality of the way he actually plays.

Look at the Heat last year. Wade passed plenty at many points, but his teammates were horrible and couldn't hit anything. The only way they could win was if he got selfish. That selfishness was not a flaw -- it was a necessary adjustment due to not having good teammates.

Are you also saying that Bosh is a ball-hog?

The questions is role-players, particularly shooting and how well their games compliment each other.  I think they do OK, since LeBron likes to pass and Bosh has a good shot for a big man.

However, I think the most overlooked things for the Celts' Big Three and probably the second most important key to their success after their defense is the ability for all three of our Big Three to shoot the ball.  Ray may be the greatest shooter ever, Paul just won the 3-pt Contest, and KG is one of the finest 18-foot-shooting big men in league history.  This ability to space the floor allowed each of them to stay involved and be scoring threats even when a play wasn't run for all three of them.  It also made defending each of them twice as hard.

Besides age, part of the reason that the Olajuwon/Barkley/Drexler and the next year the Olajuwon/Barkley/Pippen trios didn't work is because none of them were good enough shooters.  Consequently, they were tripping over each other and in order for one of them to score, a play had to be run.  With the C's, Ray could score 20 in a game without having a play called for him just sitting in the corner and waiting for kickouts.

I think the Miami triumvirate is better than the Rockets and certainly has age on their side.  But they're not the shooters the C's Big Three are.  And while they may be able to overcome that, there also may be more growing pains and more conflict about the basketball.

Yeah I'd rather it beat them though than the Fakers!

I think the Heat will be the best team ever, but not for two years.

Who else do they have? With Chalmers, Beasley, Joel Anthony, that is a 6 players team. By the way, how many vet. minium players can a team sign?

Very doubtful.  LeBron and Wades games are too similar and one of them will have to change -- bet it's LeBron.  Bosh has never won anything.

They need to fill in enough spare parts to compliment that core, but the core is flawed.

Chicago or New York would have been much better situations for LBJ.
