as much as it pains me to say this, this celtics fan will root for LA, the lesser of two evils, because there is no way those ball-hogs are contending with the length of bynum/pau/odom or beating our defense ... i just cant see it

Never say you are going to root for the LA Lakers AGAIN... AGAIN!

Oh and by the way 2 of those losses will come to the Celtics!

With all due respect to the thread starter, LA will never be the lesser of two evils in my book. I would rather see Wade and company win numerous championships than the Lakers.

Watching this exercise in egotism fail is going to be one of my greatest pleasures in basketball.

It's still a team game.

And this isn't a team.

that's what the "beating our defense" implied ... i'll only wrote this to say that when Lakers vs. HEAT i'm going to root for the lesser of two evils

The lesser of the evils is the HEAT.  The Lakers are always the bigger EVIL.  Right there with the Yankees!!

Absolutely correct...and besides, the celtics will win in the playoffs. Not enough on Miami aside from their impressive big three.

Tp for your correct world view. :)
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Not this year, and likely not next year with the lockout.  Maybe in 2012-2013.

Yeah, Miami are definitely breaking 70 wins with that team ... once they have a good supporting cast in place in a year or two.

They are going to run riot on the league.

I think it takes time for a team to gell. Besides, there is way too much talent in the league to let any one fantasy team win 70 games.

Besides, Miami nightlife has enough distractions to shave off at least 5 wins a year. Hence you predict this team to go 76 and 1 - NOT.

Maybe when all the old stars retire by 2013, and the while the rest of the teams are rebuilding, the Heat could run roughshod over the league and put together a fantastic season to be compared to the 1996 Bulls, the 1987 Lakers, and of course our 1986 Celtics.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

OUR? I don't hate fans of other teams, but when you SWITCH to another team, you need to get off this board.

Huh? Ball-hogs? Are you familiar with Lebron James, who has a history of being critiqued for passing too much to inferior teammates? Lebron is definitely not a ball hog. He has always shown a willingness to pass far more than, say, Ray Allen or Paul Pierce. And I don't consider our 2 guys ball hogs.

Lebron may be a tool for having that hour long program, but try to critique him base on the reality of the way he actually plays.

Look at the Heat last year. Wade passed plenty at many points, but his teammates were horrible and couldn't hit anything. The only way they could win was if he got selfish. That selfishness was not a flaw -- it was a necessary adjustment due to not having good teammates.

Are you also saying that Bosh is a ball-hog?
