Baseball sources indicate Red Sox first baseman Kevin Youkilis did not earn the final A.L. All-Star team berth in voting by the fans.

The official announcement will be made at 6 p.m.

There was no word as to who prevailed in the voting, but it's expected to be the Yankees' Nick Swisher.

EEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!  Swisher and the Yankees can have their last All-Star ballot vote in.  Youk and the Sox will beat the Yankees when it counts.

No, I thought of that the whole time, but what I wanted was Youk to make it and pull his name out lol.  With all the injuries we've gotten we need the rest.
