I have a feeling 'bout Iverson!

we all know Danny has coveted him in the past & almost pulled the trigger on a trade for him. I got a feeling DA is gonna sign him w/ the Vet. Minimum, w/ the thought that the Big Three plus one can tame him and get him to buy into our system and the "Celtic Way". Think about it the guy has alot to prove and I am sure wants a ring more than anything and we need a back PG/SG and some scoring off the bench. I personally think he is worth taking a flyer on at this point for a year, maybe he playes well and we can package him at the deadline?

There's a few problems with that.

1: With AI and Tmac off the bench they'll be stealing the ball from each other to see who can get up more shots.

2: Those two aren't exactly the best defenders and I'm not sure they could co exist.

3: I'm concerned with the fact that they've never really played team basketball and don't know that they can adapt.

I'm only interested in Oneal and might consider tmac if he talked to Danny beforehand about team ball and taking good shots.

Bring both Iverson and O'Neal on..Why not..We might sneak in as an 8-seed.  Rivers will be gone by mid season.

Between the two of them they might play 82 games combined..

Well, if the other four players are playing defense, then all we need them is to be adequate.  Plus, with those guys we're talking 15-20 mpg, not 35+.

Also, think about what they could do for the second unit.  Even a guy like Michael Finley last year had trouble getting his shot off because there was no one to make the opposing defense buckle.  Put AI out there with him, and a guy like Finley starts getting open treys.  

Again, I'm not in love with the idea, but I do think the "unknown" of free agency has some people with higher expectations than are realistic.  It's easy to turn up your nose at AI and T-Mac when you think we can get Mike Miller or J.J. Reddick.  But that might not be in the cards.
