Ainge didn't sound too worried about Bosh going to the Heat.

"Well, Miami will be very good,'' Ainge said. "But I'm working on what we're trying to do to become a better team. I'm not worried about what everybody else is doing.''

Quote
Rivers did acknowledge, though, the Heat will be much tougher with another big scorer in Bosh alongside Wade.

"(Bosh) makes them better, it's clear,'' Rivers said. "Bosh is a hell of a player. ... It makes it more difficult to guard Wade because before you could kind of load up, and now they've got another guy wandering around. ... They're a better basketball team.''

But that still doesn't mean the Celtics are shaking in their sneakers.

The "super team" being alluded to in the article is just the Wade/Bosh combo in Miami. I think Boston is still better than that Miami team. Now if Lebron does decide to join Wade and Bosh, then that is a totally different story.

If Lebron chooses Miami tonight...we probably had our last chance slip through our hands last month

They'll be tough..  but you need a PG and a C to win.  PG and C don't have to be all-stars, but they need to be better than Chalmers and that giant sucking vacuum that the Heat currently have at the 5.

yes assuming LB lands his circus there that's 3 superstars as suppose to 4 in Boston. And the rest of Miami's roster are just scarps.

Yeah, as a team, even with LeBron, I don't see the need to worry to much about the Heat this year. As the years progress and Boston gets older and the Heat get to add first round picks and MLE level players, then the become very dangerous. But not until year 2 of that team being put together, at the very earliest.

And this where Danny steps in. He just have to be sure that he can stretch the productive years of our aging vets or we can rebound in a fly when we replace our own Big 3.

At this point, Miami would have the two best players in such a matchup.  But my fingers are crossed LBJ will take the Knicks' bait.

Boston doesnt have 4 superstars. And i'd take all 3 of them over KG Pierce and Ray any day and so would any logical NBA Fan or Exec. The advantage the Cs have....winning attitude and toughness.

And most importantly the best PG in the East.

DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

If they sign LeBron, they should be able to scrounge together a decent bench with vet min guys, players looking for a chance at a ring.  Don't see how they acquire a starting-caliber PG or C.

I know some people like Chalmers...  but I don't.  Didn't crack 32% on his threes last year (point guard's going to have to space the floor more than anything else with that squad).  Hell, even Miami wasn't starting him the second half of the year; wasn't Arroyo their starter in the playoffs?

Wonder if maybe D-Fish would go to South Beach for a season or two, since the Lakers just signed Blake presumably to be their starter.

HUGE hole in the middle, though.

So has Miami renounced the rights to Haslem?  They can only sign him for the vet min right?

I recall Wallace had decent games against Toronto last season. You think KG can't handle Bosh?

This isn't a Fantasy League. Granted they're young and strong but like you said they have a winning attitude and can sacrifice their own gains for a common goal. And oh they have the best PG in the East.

  • Thank you Eddie!
I'm confused... I thought you had to have 12 guys for an NBA roster, not 3.  Who are they going to fill the other 9 roster spots with this year, D-Leaugers?
