Wade&Bosh will team up in Miami
Overall, I think this is relatively good for the Celtics. Those two on the Bulls were a worst case scenario.
The Heat got better, but are they contenders? I don't believe so. Their third best player is a PF too, so they probably need to move Beasley now.
I guess wherever Lebron goes will be the contender with Boston and Orlando. As a New Yorker and NBA fan, I would like him come to the Knicks, great for the city and the league. We will know in about 38 hours.
As someone who lives in New York, but doesn't consider himself a New Yorker, I'd prefer seeing LBJ go to the Nets over the Knicks. I think that'd be a great move for LBJ, the NBA, Brooklyn, and of course the Cs (ie: much better than if LBJ stays in Cleveland or goes to Chicago).
Well, I think he'd be a lock for Brooklyn....if they were in Brooklyn.
The Nets messed up, for whatever the reasons may be, I haven't really kept up with it. The area they are building the new arena needs a lot more than just an arena, so their was a lot of red tape, but regardless, LeBron does not want to play in Newark (better than East Rutherford, but that's not saying much) for 2 seasons.
I could see him giving Cleveland one last chance, opt out after 3 years (either he wins a championship for them or he gives up) and then go to Brooklyn.
I think the Nets are a better option than just about every team other than the Knicks, because they really mean more to the NBA than every other team sans the Lakers and Celtics, and if they create a dynasty they may be even more valuable.
Madison Square Garden has begun a nearly $800 million dollar multi-year renovation project.
And from a C's perspective, I think the Nets would be more dangerous with Harris, Lee, and Lopez in addition to some other FA (Boozer?) than just LeBron and STAT in NYC. Both would be contenders, but the Knicks would be a better matchup for us.
