I would take him over Shelden Williams in a second.

What does he bring to the table that Sheldon doesn't? Hustle? No. Intelligence? No. Good shooting? No. Laziness? Yes. Good passing? No.

DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I am so not seeing it. The kid never did anything good in this league.

He belongs over seas and not on a good team or in a good league over seas

We'll take a pass, too, thank you.

He's a viable third string center, but I wouldn't want to count on him for more than that.

The sad thing is Kwame Brown will probably command a lot more than the veteran's minimum.  Even bums like Chris Wilcox and Greg Foster make way more than the minimum.

I really don't see comparing his (non)-game with Sheldon's but I wouldn't want either being more than a last big off the bench.

While he clearly sucks, he could probably soak up a bunch of minutes while Perk's out.

He might not be a bad option as the temporary second string center until Perk comes back.  But I'd like him then to be relegated to Shelden's old role after Perk returns.

For the vet min why not.

Patrick Obryant is a good example of why not.

So what? O'Bryant didn't work out and got traded.

Wow... Desperate times, uh? :o

With that said, Kwame for the minimum would be better than nothing I guess... but I'm not sure.

Wow. No. I'd rather spend the MLE on Shaq and I really don't want to do that.

Thank you. Shelden Williams is like 6'7" Kwame is closer to 6'11" and he is a better athlete. As a fifth big he would of been better fighting for rebounds in game 7 than Williams was. Also Kwame can at least block some shots. Williams couldn't protect the rim at all. I would take Kwame as my fifth big for the vet. min, but that is it. Shelden was our fifth big... I'd rather have Kwame's size.

Kwame is 6'11'', 270 and is only 28 years old.  He's the poor man's version of what Shaq would give you right now defensively and on the boards.  He can't score, but how much more do you want out of your 3rd string center on a vet min contract?

Kwame Brown could be a solid fourth big in the rotation playing 10-15 minutes a night once Perkins returns. I would be comfortable with him in that role.
