  • Another undersized Celtic...
I agree with those who say it's better than bringing Sheldon back. At least we'd have legit size--does he have the NBA IQ to play in our system though?

I'd definitely take him for cheap. Can't score to save his life, but he's a reasonably good defender with good size and there are only so many of those available.

I'm [dang] glad we didn't draft the guy, but if we can convince him to just do one thing well (play some post defense) for 10-15 minutes a night we could do a lot worse.

BTW, how much cap space does Houston have?

From what I can tell (from looking at both hoopshype and shamsports), none.  I don't get why they are in such a better position to bring in Brad Miller than are the Cs....

The Celtics probably feel more pressure to split the MLE between multiple players.  Brad Miller was probably targeted precisely because he is clearly better than a vet min type player but may be attainable for closer to half of the MLE.  So, Houston may be willing to pay more.

I'd like to see both.  We're going to need two big men at least until Perk gets back.  Even then, it's good to have a fifth.

Love it. Im glad we are finally looking at length and true centers... No more of this undersized crap. I wouldnt mind Kwame being brought in as a back up for the min... If the Shaq rumors fall through Id give him a shot.

Kind of surprised to hear his name, then his age, at 28 for a part time player for cheap its worth a shot.  Can't teach height, if he can figure out the defensive rotation, rebound, play good defense than why not?
Not sure about Shaq at this point. out of shape, looking for $ and might be an attitude problem.    Ben Wallace?

At the vet min I don't mind him. Tall. Solid post defender. And his hands cannot possibly be stonier than Sheldon's.

Unfortunately, they are worse.  They are the worst aspect about Kwame as a player.  Still he's a good rebounder and a very solid all-around defender.

We are not that desperate, at least not yet. Please, no Kwame in green.
