Boston gets: Shawn Marion & Jose Juan Barea

Dallas gets: Rasheeds contract & Big Baby

Why for Boston: Marion is a perfect fit for this ball club. he can give you 20-25 solid minutes off the bench, plays D very well, can knock down big shots, and is the type of player who you want running with Rondo on the fast break. I practically was praying that we were going to sign him for the MLE last off-season.
Also, Jose Barea is a solid back up PG to come in and give energy off the bench. He's a local guy too,and that never hurts.

Why for Dallas: Dallas sheds a big chunk of salary after this trade IF Rasheed decides to retire and get a guy in big baby who plays hard and can help the Mavs with their rebounding issues. Big Baby is a perfect fit for a championship contending team...possibly can be used to lure LeBron in a sign-and trade?

I like it if we can get another PF/C in here and the $$ fits.

They do have Beaubois to take over for Barea.
Your also leaving Butler out of their rotation.

No thanks.  I don't really want either of those two players.  Baby is almost as good as Marion at this point, and I'm not crazy about Barea.  I think we can get a lot more for Rasheed's contract.
