I don't see much value in Derrick Rose if Wade and LeBron are there. Not enough touches/drives/shots to go around.

The Bulls would be best off moving Rose for a talented power forward. Perhaps Blake Griffin.

Who would you have as the point then?  If they still had Heinrich that would be the perfect situation, but they wouldn't have the money if they kept him.
I don't think they need a star point guard. Better off with a role player at the point and a star at the four. I think that would create better balance. Someone like Steve Blake would be excellent.

If the Bulls were to trade Rose for a point guard, who is a star, Steph Curry would be my first choice. He has the passing instincts and the shooting ability required to make it work.

Another idea, an older point like J-Kidd or C-Billups would also be a good fit for the next couple of years.

Shooter and unselfish (comfortable without the ball). I would rate those two qualities the highest. Then defensive ability and rebounding. Then playmaking ability. Then, lastly, scoring ability.

Steve Blake would be the perfect fit if he wasn't going to LA.  Maybe Chris Duhon if they went and got a stretch four?  Idk how he'd do under the pressure and expectations though.

Rose has worked on his shot a lot, though. He could be OK off the ball.

But for this to work, LeBron definitely has got to let someone else handle the rock in the half-court set.

I disagree, you can never have too much of a good thing. If one of the three is in foul trouble or needs a rest, you still have to great penetrators on the floor who can create shots and get to the line.

It would still work extremely well with Rose. There would just be a high level of diminishing returns (offensively) between the three of them.

No need to force a change but I would explore it. See if the Bulls could create a better balance.

They all would have to take a big cut in their numbers in order to win like we did, but even more so.

Out of this year's free agents? Okay, let's see, I would go with Roger Mason Jr. Nate Robinson would be my second choice.

Either player would be stop-gap signing for the next 12 months until the Bulls can find a better full time replacement.

that's life if you want to win. That's what broke up the Shaq-Kobe lakers, and that's what got the big three a title in 2008. It's all up to them if they want to sacrifice they will win, if not, then I hope they are satisfied with their numbers.

I wouldn't go with either to be honest.  First of all I don't believe Roger Mason Jr. can handle the point.  Second of all I would want more of a passing point guard so that would leave out Nate.  Out of Nate, Roger Mason Jr., and Duhon I would have to choose Duhon.

Well maybe Nate lol.  He did show that he can be more of a passing point here.  Idk it would be between him and Duhon.

Looks like Chicago is more worried about finding a
serviceable center (and cap space) rather than
a back up point guard and are willing to part
with Deng to get it done.

They are interested in Haywood.  You think Dallas would do a sign and trade with Haywood for Deng?

Only if they turn around and use Butler or Marion with Dampier for a major trade, which they have been rumored to be working on.

I don't see how they could have enough minutes for Butler, Marion, and Deng at the 3/4.

That's true I didn't think of how Dallas would have the log jam at the 3.

Even if Lebron doesn't join Wade in Chi...and Wade ends up bringing Bosh with him....then even this line up would be pretty nasty

Rose
Wade
Deng
Bosh
Noah

I think Chicago would be stronger with Wade/Bosh combination than having Wade/Lebron combination. They already got Rose but the need of a solid big man is more important in this case. Bulls would be awesome with that lineup.

It would be interesting to see what kind of system they would run with Rose, Wade and Lebron.

Wade is just posturing. He has to play the game to keep the pressure on Pat Riley to deliver him at least bosh. If A'mare goes to the knicks that's one guy off the heat's wish list. They're not getting Lebron, so Riley MUST deliver Bosh. Until Lebron ans bosh sign elsewhere Wade leaving Miami talk is a joke. I can tell you if the have to settle for boozer, he's gone. Riley has to deliver either Lebron, Bosh, or A'mare.

MiamiCelticfan what is atmosphere like around you with the Heat in the middle of this free-agency mess?
