In the past few days, it seemed suddenly like a certainty that Wade would stay in Miami and be joined by fellow free agents but the most recents developments point out to Wade seriously considering playing for his hometown team, the Bulls, to pair with LeBron and the core already in place (Rose & Noah). Today, he is meeting the Bulls a second time in two days.

Quote
Dwyane Wade will meet privately with Chicago Bulls officials for a second time in two days on Friday and is seriously contemplating leaving the Miami Heat to join his hometown team, a league source told Yahoo! Sports.

This could be a significant step in Wade helping to create a blockbuster partnership with LeBron Jameson the Bulls.

Wade and James have been discussing the possibility of playing together, but the major hurdle to the starry alliance remains James’ reluctance to join Wade in Miami, sources say.

“D-Wade and LeBron want to play together, but neither one wants to commit to each other,” a source with knowledge of the conversations told Yahoo! Sports on Friday.

Sources say that Wade is intrigued by the infrastructure of talent the Bulls have to surround him, especially in contrast to how gutted the Heat roster has become in the clearing of salary cap space.

The Bulls are trying to line up a commitment from Wade prior to their formal presentation with James in Cleveland on Saturday, sources said.

Chicago has a strong nucleus of young players, including Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah, who with Wade and James would instantly turn the Bulls into a championship contender.

Sounds more realistic than LeBron and Bosh joining Wade in Miami, but boy, a Rose/Wade/LeBron/??/Noah lineup would be scary.

Even if Lebron doesn't join Wade in Chi...and Wade ends up bringing Bosh with him....then even this line up would be pretty nasty

Rose
Wade
Deng
Bosh
Noah

This is what I think they're lineup would be Rose/Wade/LeBron/Gibson/Noah.

Now that is one scary lineup and I don't see any team beating them.

That's even better for Wade. It will be his team without Lebron's big ego standing in his way.

Apparently, the Bulls have also lined up a trade of Deng for a "serviceable center" to free up the requisite cap space to max out both LeBron and Wade.

Man I wish the players could just sign so we would know what we're going to be up against.

True..and if Lebron panics seeing that Wade has teamed up with Bosh + Rose to take a shot at the ring, and that Amare most likely will end up in NY....then hopefully in desperation he ends up accepting MLE and joins us.

Anyways jokes aside, I think Wade will be better off with that line up than being in a team with Bron, because I seriously can't see both of them putting their egos aside and sacrificing stats.

Am getting bored with all the speculation now. July 8th is the deadline for FA's to sign...right?

Yeah it is, but on Monday we should know where LeBron is going and then the dominoes will fall.

I don't see much value in Derrick Rose if Wade and LeBron are there. Not enough touches/drives/shots to go around.

The Bulls would be best off moving Rose for a talented power forward. Perhaps Blake Griffin.

I would start Luol Deng at the four and play a run'n'gun offense if the Bulls signed Wade + LeBron.

That would be an extremely difficult team to match up with the floor spaced out like that + with them getting into the open court at will.

Rose has worked on his shot a lot, though. He could be OK off the ball.

But for this to work, LeBron definitely has got to let someone else handle the rock in the half-court set.

Who would you have as the point then?  If they still had Hinrich that would be the perfect situation, but as you knowthey wouldn't have the money for two max free-agents if they kept him.

If LeBron and Wade end up being on the same team who ever they're facing is always going to be in the penalty.

I don't think they need a star point guard. Better off with a role player at the point and a star at the four. I think that would create better balance. Someone like Steve Blake would be excellent.

If the Bulls were to trade Rose for a point guard, who is a star, Steph Curry would be my first choice. He has the passing instincts and the shooting ability required to make it work.

Another idea, an older point like J-Kidd or C-Billups would also be a good fit for the next couple of years.

Shooter and unselfish (comfortable without the ball). I would rate those two qualities the highest. Then defensive ability and rebounding. Then playmaking ability. Then, lastly, scoring ability.
