Reddick locked up Ray Allen pretty good the last two playoff series against Orlando. Reddick was in the fourth quarter more often than Carter and/or Matt Barnes, so what does that tell you? He's a nice replacement for Ray if he leaves. Not the best replacement, but I would not be disappointed. Kyle Korver would be a nice guy on the bench is well, but I'd take Reddick if I had to choose between the two.

I would LOVE having JJ. He would a perfect back up for Ray and could even be a great starting shooting guard if we don't resign Ray.

Either way, Redick in green would be awesome! That said, I highly doubt Orlando let's him go to the Celtics.

Regardless I think Redick and either Lee, Brad Miller or Haywood would be an awesome offseason!!!!

Reddick is in no way comparable to Ray Allen but as a backup he's a nice option. I'm pretty imporessed with the guy . However, as ugly and choppy Tony Allen's offense is I still imagine us as a better team with Tony's defense off the bench against L.A. instead of relying on Reddick's admittedly awesome jumpshot and respectable defense.

J.J was the overall best player for Orlando vs Boston in the Playoffs. I'd love to have him on our team. The guy will work hit rear off and be ready when needed. If we have Ray still we'll have to of the best pressure 3 point shoots in the NBA on our team.

In the end I'd liek to see Boston get a center, an insurance big (who will still need to play alot while Perk recovers), a wing who can shoot, and then a secondary wing (either the likes of Redick or a returned Tony Allen)

I pretty much agree with you. I view the needs as:
(1) Backup Center
(2a*) Backup Wing
(2b*) Another backup big
(3) Backup SG

*Not sure which I'd rank above the other, but probably wing over another big man.

In a world without tradeoffs, Reddick would be great.  But I view him as a luxury at this point, with other needs coming before him.

Again, all this is predicated on Ray Allen coming back to the Cs.  If not, then I think Reddick is the best bet, assuming Orlando doesn't match the full MLE.

Hopefully then the other needs could be addressed through S&T with RA contract and Sheed's contract.

Agree.  I was impressed with Reddick in that Orlando series.  He actually played some pretty decdent defense and would much prefer him over Ashton Korver who is allergic to defense.

it would cost at least the full MLE, and then there'd be no room for David Lee.

Again, in a perfect world we'd have Steve Blake as the backup PG, Reddick as the backup SG, Harrington as the backup SF, Lee as the backup PF and Haywood as the backup C.  But it's not happening. 

Cs need to prioritize, and, IF Ray Allen resigns, the backup SG spot is not the highest priority.
