Bos: Wallace - Perkins
Min: Jefferson

Would you take back Al to play C with Garnettas PF?

On Real Gm trade checker this trade works.

that would mean the Wolves basically traded KG for Perk...not sure how the faithful would feel about that one

Well, it could have been worse, much worse.

In any case, besides ethical issues, I do not think that any team in the right mind would trade for Perkins, as he would be out for most of next season.  In addition, unlike Perkins, Big Al does not play defense.

I'm pretty sure we'd be off Minnesotas call back list as potential suitors for Big Al.  I cant speak for Minnesota fans, but if I were them and they traded Jefferson back to us for practically nothing, I'd be leading the charge to the Target Center with torches and pitchforks.

I don't think perk is going anywhere until he recovers from his injury.

MIN won't want Perk now that they locked up Darko.

I could see something like Sheed and S&T Nate on a short (two year or one year deal) with cash and a future first as the only way they'd even think of it. They basically get a free trial of Nate Robinson and out of the contract, plus a future first to (hopefully replace the talent.) They might also be open to taking BBD, but he's 800k short of being enough to trade for Jefferson.

They don't want to pay Al Jefferson 42 million over for the next three years and I think they'll prefer an exit that saves money or saves face, if only one of the two is available.

Could the C's trade Sheed +the two D Leaguers + $3 Million to NY for David Lee at just under ten mil (because of the 125% contract rule).  If Minnesota wants Lee, how long would we have to wait to trade Lee for Big Al?  And would we have to throw in more than Lee to get the salaries to work (at 9.9 mil)?

I dont want Jefferson back...Especially if he has to play center for us. Big time defensive liability. If we are going to give up that package for someone I would look into a big push for Lee over Jefferson.

Getting Lee would still be a huge coup.  I just like Big Al and think he'd be a great piece to have after the Big Three.  I agree he's not a center but he'd give us those easy shots in the post that KG and Sheed are reluctant to work for.

So we trade away all our interior defense?  No thanks.

I'm sure Minnesota can't wait to trade it's best player for two bums, especially when one of them is retiring and the other has a bad leg.  I'm sure they would feel bad fleecing us and throw in Kevin Love.

I loved big al back in the bad old days. today i'm not sure i want him back. if we plan on building a running team around rondo he is not the most complimentary fit.
