Not a fan of Brad Miller (nor do I want to see him in green); but if it helps the team then am all up for it.

Hopefully the interest is mutual enough from his perspective to take the Vet Min in order to try to win a championship.

I am all on board at the Vet min.

That will allow the Celtics to trade Wallace for the best possible player instead of the best possible big man.

I'm sure Ainge wants to resign TA and since he's not much of a shooter, the idea is to get a big who can hit from outside and stretch the defense.  I think that's the wrong approach.  Boston needs a banger who can get garbage buckets downlow.  When the outside shooting big isn't hitting and Big Baby is getting his shot blocked in the lane, it will regularly cripple the offense for the second unit.  They need to let Baby shoot from the outside and have a big downlow who can score with more consistency.

Get him for the Vet Min...sure.

If it takes the MLE though, I'll be disappointed that that was the way they spent it.

Yes, because there are loads of young good centers available at reasonable prices this offseason...

The man you are looking for is Luke Harangody. Super Celtic.

I'd sam say cassell and marbury were ghastly... PJ Brown and Sheed had a couple moments.   Maybe Brad Miller will pull down a few rebounds in some random playoff game.

The thing is, those are the type of players who are willing to sacrifice some money for a title.  They've earned their money and now want a ring (or another ring in Cassell and Wallace's case).  Unfortunately, no up and coming player is going to want to hurt playing time and stats (and thus potential earning power) to win a title.

The good thing is that while we may need to lean on a guy like Brad Miller heavily in the regular season, come playoff time, the C's can get by with Perk, KG, and BBD for big minutes and really reduce Miller's minutes to the 10 mpg mark or so if he's not producing as much as we like.

Cassel had his moments in the playoffs as well.  And his work with Rondo was very positive.

For the Vet min, impacting a playoff game is the best you can hope for.

Yeah hopefully we are talking about a portion of MLE at most. I just think he's to going to expect more than Vet min.  I actually think he's better than Darko even at this stage of his career.  If you think we are getting any quality for vet min you'll be disappointed but, don't be because you probably shouldn't have been thinking that way in the first place.

His hands and passing alone are light years better than Perks (i realize that's not saying very much) so I'll assume he can catch dead on passes that Rondo feeds him and he can lay the ball in the basket.

Miller is a 7 ft tough center who can hit the three and spread the floor. Great Sheed replacement, and unlike Sheed he will bring it all year long. He's worth the money if they can get him.
