has anyone seen this ? the gf had it on tonight and there wasn't much else to watch - but wow, the world of pageantry is a sad scary place.  The parents take it way too seriously and the kids are either resistant or spoiled brats... this girl who was I believe 3 was all upset and whining because she didn't get grand supreme (I think that's what they call it) and the parents are like there must be a mistake, this is crap etc.  turns out she got ultimate grand supreme...and then the kids continually brags about it...not good behavior

anyways, pretty scary show...

This show seems like a great way to teach little girls how to objectify themselves. Really gets them off on the right foot.  ::)

Yeah, I've seen that show a few times, but it gets me so depressed seeing kids that young taking on those pressures and attitudes ... and I don't go along with dressing them like adults with make-up, heels, etc. ... for their own play-time, sure, but not paraded around like that. It's almost always the mothers that are living vicariously through their little ones ... pushing them to be what they could not be themselves. I find it troubling and sad ... and I pray those kids adjust.

tp Exactly how I feel about it. Haven't seen the show but I really hate this trend. It's so sad. Those parents damaging their kids in so many ways.
