In case you were wondering Celtics fans, veteran free agent swingman Michael Finley is not retiring and still has a strong desire to play.
I thought Mike was going to retire after this season but according to Marc Spears it's not the case : QuoteIn case you were wondering Celtics fans, veteran free agent swingman Michael Finley is not retiring and still has a strong desire to play. So, would you resign him for the veteran minimum? And if you did, would you give him some good minutes during the season to rest the starters?I would be glad to welcome Finley back, he didn't contribute at all in the playoffs but he is a great guy, and for the veteran minimum, on a team that will struggle to fill its roster, he seems useful, even if he doesn't play much. Always helpful to have a shooter on your team (even if he can't guard a chair ).

Im sure Holyfield still had a strong desire to box also. Should he? No.
If he had anything left to offer, Doc would have given him the opportunity to show it in the playoffs.
