The numbers work. Not sure if the Wolves would ever make that deal though. Al was recovering from a knee injury. Perk would give them a better defensive presence and we would be trading one fan favorite for another.

The trade is probably a little too lopsided and I doubt the wolves need to shed cap space that bad. They are probably lower on the list for the Lebron sweepstakes then we are.

What you think about this trade:
Sheed + Perk + Davis for Jefferson + Brewer?

With Perk's bad knee, I think he'll be very difficult to trade. He'd essentially rehab on another team, play 30-40 games, and then bolt as a free agent.

To me, it depends on how badly they want to get out of Jefferson's contract.   I believe it is fairly obvious that Jefferson and Love can't co-exist in the triangle.

I'd be ecstatic if we could get this done.

if Al Jeff gets traded, it will be the biggest steal of this offseason for whoever gets him....this should be danny's top priority if there is any chance - he could be our pf for the next 8-10 years

Man, if we could somehow get Big Al without giving up Perk - that'd be Grand, indeed!

How do you say we do that GreenFaith, because I would love absolutely love that, but I don't think we have the assests to get that done and what would be your proposal?

the proposal w/o perk could really only include a mix of...

sheeds contract, BBD, sign and trade with ray tony or nate  (may require a 3rd team with need for these players), bradley and future picks......

Then who do we get to replace Ray?  Mike Miller or JJ Reddick?

Along with that what would the frontcourt be?  KG at the 4 Al at the 5 with Perk off the bench?  KG at the 4 Al at the 5 with Perk off the bench? Or KG at the 4 with Perk the 5 and Al off the bench?

Al would be really amazing as a 6th man (i believe someone else has already said this on another thread). He would  be instant offense and would be going against tired starters or second stringers a lot of time allowing him to hide some of his defensive weakness. His rebounding would also be a plus, and perhaps limited his minutes down from a starter would increase his durability. If he really admires, McHale there is an outside chance he could want to fill the 6th man role for the celtics. Then again, he makes an absolute ton of money to be a sixth man and we just might not have the assets.
