  • Rondo = Good
So this guy wasn't even drafted.  Seems like it'd be worthwhile to have him play on the summer league team and give him a shot, seeing as the Celtics don't have even have a starting center for next season at the moment.  I mean, at best he'd be the 5th big, but at least he could be a body.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

Charles Garcia and other possible Summer League invitees

I was suprised nobody rolled the dice on Charles Garcia, a 6-10 SF that started playing at PF/C. Great athlete, 18.7ppg and 8rpg in Seattle University. Hope Danny gives him a chance in Summer League.

Other potential invitees (undrafted):
Manny Harris 6-5 SG (18ppg, 6rpg, 80%FT)

Samardo Samuels 6-8 PF (15ppg, 7rpg, scored 36 against Luke Harangody's Notre Dame)

Mikhail Torrance 6-5 PG/SG (15ppg, 5apg, 86%FT)

He's an average big man. At best he'd give the fans something to cheer for...

Agree completely, Pos. He'd be a fantastic free agent pickup with our need for a body at center. I hope Danny's trying to get him up here right now.
Go Celtics.

Art P:  that big 7' from Radford (we need a big man and he could help perhaps play 10-15 minutes)

Zoubek

Jon Scheyer

  • KG IS THE KING
I go to an ACC school and I have seen Zoubek's game. He is a STIFF! He does not move well at all on the defensive end, and most of his rebounds come from his dominating size over other college players. In the NBA, he will not nearly have that same advantage. Still worth a training camp invite, but I think he is over-rated.

The NBA has lost the big stiff.  I love the big stiff on the NBA bench.

I'd like to see Chris Lofton come back again this year. Now that Eddie and Nate are gone we'll need a shooter off the bench.

Williams, not big enough
POB, not good enough.

Moore, to soft.

Oh, I thought the only criteria for making that list was being a stiff.

No.

True stiffs had some sort of talent.  They had to be big, strong, and slow.  They could be thrown on the court to push guys and foul hard.  They were just painfully slow.

Are we playing one of these things is not like the other?

Anyway, Will Perdue was far softer than Mikki.

Jordan infamously taunted Will that he was too soft to be named after a Big Ten school and called him Will Vanderbilt.
