Nah. I want nothing whatsoever to do with Tiny Gallon, at 31, 51, 81 or whatever. Terrible work ethic. Same goes for Willie Warren. Bad character people.

I kind of like this.  It is a deep draft and there might not be much of a difference between the 19th pick and the 25th and we pick up the extra pick.  When you get up to the 19th pick that player will have some question marks so might as well roll the dice with 2 players just a little further down in the draft.

I guess those picks could still get us a couple guys like Elliot Williams / Greivis Vasquez / James Anderson / Jordan Crawford / Quincy Pondexter and Stanley Robinson / Willie Warren / Devin Ebanks.

But yeah, it could be Walker and Giddens again or it could be Delonte and TA or Gomes and Powe.

Well, i'm sure danny will wait until #19 is on the clock before he pulls the trigger on the deal, and since we have two firm offers, the likelihood of another side still being there is high.

I'd hope if a talent like bledsoe was still on the board danny would make the pick.

But my graduation is tomorrow and i'm missing the draft anyway. So i'll have to read about it later.

At 25, Whiteside, Alabi, or Orton could still be there.

At 28, Jordan Crawford or Dominique Jones.

Still possible that James Anderson and/or Damion James are still on the board there as well.

I think the odds of going 2 for 2 are pretty high. This is a deep draft.

Maybe DA makes the trade for 25 and 28, then sends those picks to Indy for the 10th pick.

I like having multiple picks going into the draft. There are other teams that will be wanting to get into the first round tomorrow evening. Future picks and/or players could be had.

I think trading back for two 1st rounders is a big win for the C's.

I'll pass on Willie Warren.  Tiny Gallon isn't necessarily a bad character guy from what I've read, it sounds like an assistant coach at OU took money from an agent and gave it to Tiny's mom, something like that.  I would hesitate to call him a bad character guy without knowing more, especially since he's a young kid and whatever happened could have been things he didn't sign on to, or didn't understand.  I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, especially because I don't want him to come into my house in the middle of the night and crush me with his tiny hands and his 300 pound frame.

Gallon sounds like another BBD as far as his skills and size, not sure we need him.

It’s not going to be “another Giddens, Walker” because this team isn’t going to have the same veteran depth. Walker has shown that he’s capable of being a rotation guy,

This team will likely be coached by someone other than Doc Rivers, who doesn’t like playing rookies.

Scouts have said that the same value of player found at 19 can be found at the top of the 2nd round.

So if 25 and 28 will get the same level of talent as 19... then it’s two equal players for the price of one.

This. TP. I agree, any pick talked about (25,27,28,31) could bring players like these. I'd go for Anderson and Whiteside if available, but any of the players you've listed would be worth a try. Even Mikhail Torrance, Stanley Robinson... all these have been projected in the late teens, so they don't seem to be much different to those available with #19.

I guess tonight we'll see either trade, or even something better. Trust DA.

Congrats on your graduation.

The move for the 25th and 28th picks makes little sense.  I doubt if this goes through that Elliot Williams is still there, the Spurs like him, which means that he'll turn into another steal for them.  San Antonio is the only contender that knows how to draft.

Must...have...Paul...George.....

If NO is willing to sell the 11th for cash, please buy it Danny.  OKC already beat you for Miami's pick, don't let it happen again.  We must move quickly.  Buy Chicago's pick too.

For those comparing 25 and 28 to Walker and Giddens I have these comments.
1. This years draft is deeper than that draft.
2. Giddens went with the last pick in the first and Walker went in the teens of the 2nd round. These picks are a lot higher.
3. These guys are gonna need to play because
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Thank you for this post.  Every year people are so sarcastic about the draft and the players coming in.  The draft where Danny picked Giddens is nowhere close to this one in depth.  If his guy isn't there at 19....it's a valid alternative.
