Just two quick thoughts on this strange season.
1) I'm a long time Ainge fan/apologist here. Have felt he's gotten almost all of the big decisions right and I haven't minded the chances that he's taken that haven't worked out at all. One of the guys I was hoping they would take a chance on was Chris Anderson, and I'm wondering how much of a difference you guys think he might have made. Just be reputation, a big, active, athletic 7 foot rebounding machine would have been a perfect fit for them as they lacked size, rebounding and athleticism at times. His numbers don't jump out at me from last year, but if he was on his game, he seems like a guy that would have provided exactly what we were missing... especially against the Lakers...
2) It hurts for me to even mention his name, but has any one man done more to hurt the Boston Celtics than Chris Wallace? Giving up a shot at a lottery that included Lebron, Melo, Bosh and Wade - I thought that was completely criminal and had I been the owner at that point, I would have fired him on the spot. Absolutely terrible. Then, to deliver 2 championship rings to Lakers and that sociopath (seriously) Kobe Bryant via the Pau Gasol trade... simply unbelievable... at least we gave up Al Jefferson and a lottery pick for KG... Kobe might be playing in Chicago or forced that Bynum for Jason Kidd trade if it wasn't for Chris Wallace saving the day for them... an unbelievably bad trade... Andrew Toney, Vinnie Johnson, Chris Wallace... legendary Celtic killers...
