They are 3rd and 4th on the Warriors depth chart. Mainly because of fit. This just seems like a deal that would really help us. The more I consider it, the better I like it.

An interesting deal could be Wallace to the Warriors for Brandon Wright and Kelenna Azubuike. This would give us two back ups with upside and gives the Warriors financial relief and cap flexibility. Wright was completely in the dog house with Nelson and that will not change. He does not play Nelsons style of ball. I think he could help here and grow into a decent player. All in all this deal seems fair to both teams. Thoughts?

I'd be all over this deal.  Wright and Azubuike are two of my binkies.
I think we could do better than those two.

Maybe, but I think both would be excellent fits.  Azubuike is a great shooter who can also get to the basket, and Wright is an up-and-comer who can score on the block and who has good defensive instincts.  I'd be happy with both.

Totally agree. If GSW could be convinced, the choice would be easy.

I would do backflips for a sheed for wright/azubuike trade. But why would g.s. do this? those are not huge contracts; would they do it for sheed and a #1?

But i think danny should be talking to G.S. every day, they have pieces that could probably be had; helpful pieces that can fill out a playoff roster.

Here's how I see it:

#1: For Wallace, the C's can take back 8 million in contracts.
#2: For Wallace+Lafayette+Gaffney = 9.9 mill
#3: Wallace+L+G+Baby = 13.658 mill
#4: Wallace+L+G+Perk = 16.021 mill
#5: Wallace+L+G+Perk+Baby = 19.771 mill

So there are some options. i know I keep hearing Ellis is available for the right price, as well as Biedrins; this could be golden state's chance to dump one of those two (i'd prefer biedrins: big body, finisher, rebounder, makes a little less than ellis) for instant savings; could the C's pick up one of those guys and an asset or two on the way?

I know people are very attached to Perk and Baby. However, Both look REALLY good because of what they are asked to do and by whom they are surrounded. I'm convinced Morrow, Azubuike, Wright, and Biedrins would look very good on this team. Additionally, both will be free agents after this year, and perk is back in december, will he be ready? It's okay to think outside the box a little.

So, would G.S., looking to save money, trade:
-Ellis+Randolph or Biedrins and Randolph for Package #3?
-Biedrins, Wright, Azubuike for package #4?
-Biedrins, Wright, Morrow in S+T for #4?
or the coup de grace:
-Biedrins, wright, Azubuike, Turiaf for package #5?

In Package #5, they'd instantly save 4 million just from the trade, plus another 6+ million when sheed retires. They'd save 31.36 million from that point on since they're getting all expirings in the deal. The C's would have:

Rondo/Bradley
Ray (if Resigned)/TA (ditto)
Pierce/Azubuike
KG/Wright
Biedrins/Turiaf

Thoughts? Possible? does G.S. do any of those?

started writing a post about this but my brain started to hurt - too many variables as of now

I'll just wait for Roy's FAQ I guess ;)
