Absolutely. He's a good locker room presence who is popular with media/fans and patient enough to put up with a lot from them.
He sits out game after game without complaint, but then, when unexpectedly called on (see last night) he's ready and rarely screws up because he's hard to rattle and never tries to do too much. That attitude just isn't that common. A younger player is more likely to whine/complain or try to be a hero to make his mark.
Scal was overpaid in his last contract... Jason Kidd made him look better than he is. But he's been very open about being aware that his next contract will be vet min. (I believe he said his plan was to ask Danny to re-sign him for the min and, if that didn't work, to start begging.)
