How are you men and women coping after such a heartbreaking/devestating loss like this? I'm at work right now and i'm having such a hard time concentrating. I have such a feeling of sadness inside of me. I'm trying to think positive and think of other things, but it's not working too well.

What are you doing to cope after such a painful defeat?

i am coping with it because in my head, i know we won that game and we won the series. i cannot buy the shirts or watch the championship dvd, but the celtics won game 7 and  to me, it was pretty clear. both teams played hard, both played far from percect, but i am not going to pull my hair out because of the crawford brothers and scot "donaghy's buddy" foster.

i am home, taking care of my daughter who is sick. she is napping and i am watching the US open, a sport with no refs, no flopping. even rules, equal competition, best golfer wins. no david stern, no bennet salvadore, joey crawford, ed f rush, dick bovetta. no nitwit celebrities in the crowd, no mike breen (though curtis strange is pretty brutal). lowest score wins the tourney.

I feel worse today then I did last night. It has really sunk in how close this team was to probably one of the greatest playoff runs in NBA history.

I wanted so badly for those guys to get another ring.  :(

ugh, just bought my first pack of cigs in almost a year...will probably throw away the rest of the pack like Drew Brees throwing a touchdown pass against 'Brett Farve'. Sorry if I offended any Minnesota Vikings fans...

I'm switching between depression and talking myself into this team making another run next year.

So to answer the question I'm no coping well.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

and it is very cliche, and i hate to be cliche, but there are a lot of people in the world today who wish their biggest problem in the world was the results of a basketball game (a poorly officiated one at that). we all bleed green, but at the end of the day, family and friends and health and what really matters (as much as this stinks).

I know this sounds stupid, but Ive felt like I just had a girlfriend break up with me that I was madly in love with.

This is more than just a loss and defeat, it's more because, and maybe it's just me, but I felt like a lot of the players really left it all out on the floor last night because they knew this was gonna be their last chance.

You cant help but think this was it, and a potential rebuilding phase starting up makes me want to vomit.

Feel like when I go into work at 330 everyone is going to rag me for being a celtics fan. I really am proud of this team and it was a great run but on the other hand we lost.. And that kills.. I have been going back and fourth on how this team could contend next year and how it can beacuse of the ages of our go to guys. Then I get excited thinking we could end up with a superstar but in the back of my head i am saying we don't have the money to do that its not gunna happen. So to sum it up.. I'm not doing so well. Free agency and everything cant come any sooner... I love the celtics and I really really really hope this fantasy of LeBron or Wade coming to Boston happens... I know it wont..

I am doing surprisingly well.  That was a long, crazy road, and ultimately, the C's came up short.  But it is what it is.

I have never felt like crying because of sports, but i feel like crying now. I agree with the poster who said it's probably because deep down we all know this was probably it. Probably the end of the Big 3 era in Boston. That's what makes it so tough.
