and he and Ray resign for a fraction of what they were making this year,  could they still have enough for a top tier free agent?

this is the only way they make it back to the finals next year, IMO

I don't believe because we'r already over the cap,so we can sign....

I don't want Ray back.  Maybe I'm just mad at him right now, I don't know.  But he lost games 3 and 7 with his poor shooting.

I don't want Ray back.  Maybe I'm just mad at him right now, I don't know.  But he lost games 3 and 7 with his poor shooting. 

But his defense was fantastic. He also won us games with his O.

I want him. Just not for top price.

He's unlikely to get big money anywhere now given his Finals play, I believe. I think he'll be happy to stay in Boston, keep Walker where he is settled and take a pay cut.
