Just watched the KG post-game interview.  You can tell this loss really hurt KG and that he knows that this may have been the last run for him.

Gary and Donny brought up that KG has said in the past that he can't see himself playing for anyone else besides Doc, and if Doc doesn't come back, we may need to look at the possibility of KG retiring.  Cause we can all see KG is slowing down, and slowing down very quickly.

I think it's just a wave of emotions that are happenin right now.  Gotta give it a few weeks.

Hrm.  If Rasheed retires and Doc leaves, maybe that persuades KG to hang it up.  Maybe then Ray decides to go somewhere else and play for a championship as a 6th man or something.

Perhaps if all of that happens, Pierce even considers opting out and going somewhere else.

I know it sounds absurd but Celtics fans could be a lot more excited about the lottery next May than what's going on in the post-season.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
I've said before that this offseason will bring more change and transition than many would like to admit...

This team as we know it is FINISHED.  I expect MANY changes, including a few surprises.  I wouldn't be shocked if KG retires, along with Sheed, and Ray Allen is playing elsewhere next season.

There is NO WAY this team can come back next season, as currently constituted, and do this again...

The biggest question might be whether Paul would opt out in the event that Sheed, KG, and Ray all decide to not come back to the C's next season.

Could the C's be totally without the Big 3 next season?  Sounds insane, but it's actually possible.  And scary.  But I guess we could pray for the #1 pick....

I agree. But that's okay. We will always love this group of guys and we'll always have the 08 season.

Meh, I don't see it. KG will be back again next year and the year after that.

I have my doubts that the best remaining defensive PF in the league would hang up the sneakers in the following season.

  • GOT IT!!!
I don't see KG retiring. KG loves the game to much to just go quietly in the night. He also be giving up ALOT of money.

I'm very confident KG and Pierce will be back. Who knows about Ray, hopefully he doesn't mind coming off the bench.

I could see Sheed hanging it up if he can't take the wear and tear of another NBA season.

You just gotta sit through the postgame show on CSN.  They showed the interviews of each of the big 3.  All of them you could tell were crushed by this loss and are all definately thinking about the fact that this team could look awfully different next year.

Pierce not gonna leave Beantown.

If KG goes, along with Ray and Sheed, all that does is open C's up for a max contract guy, like Lebron.

I don't see him retiring with such a big contract unless his feels he can't do it physically.

Sheed seems to be hitting that point.
