Homecourt advantage turned out being the difference. The Lakers were getting every tick tack foul call in the 4th quarter . That's why regular season matters.  I say retool and take one more shot

1) Resign ray for 2 yr 20 mil, but move him to the bench as the 6th man. His legs were clearly dead after game 2 of the finals. He played the most minutes of the big 3 this season and I think if you can cut Rays minutes down to about 30 a game , he will be much more rested and have hig legs for the end of the season.

2) Sign Mike Miller. If Doc comes back ( Please come bac doc) there is that connection. If Not Mike Mille use the MLE to sign Anthony Morrow. He is one of the best young 3 pt shooters in the game.

3) Let Scal and Shelden go as free agents. Use the LLE to sign a rebounder/defender with length.

4) draft best big man available , hopefully an athletic long rebounder/shot blocker

5) Resign Nate or TA or Both 3-4 mil for 2 yrs

6) Actually play the regular season and get HOMECOURT ADVANTAGE FOR THE FINALS

I want another Shot at these Fakers!!

The C's clearly missed Perk and the starting 5 has still never lost a series.

I have no interest in Morrow if Ray is returning. It is one or the other in my eyes.

Morrow is a weak rebounder, like Ray and like Paul, and is a below average but serviceable defender. He is also a smallish 6-5 SG which keeps the wing rotation small physically + athletically which in combination with the defensive + rebounding contributions is a non-starter in my eyes.

Morrow or Ray, not both.

I think they have one more year. No more than that.

They need length, rebounding, and youth though. I like your plan but I would get rid of TA and keep Nate. I love his energy and his ability to come of the bench and be an offensive presence immediately.

How can the C's be counted on to stay healthy? I don't think HCA was the difference. C's offense got steadly worse as the playoffs rolled on. That is a sign of a tired old team.

No way they have one year.  The East is going to be loaded next year.  Presumable, D-Wade and Lebron are each going to be paired with Bosh or Amare, and thats not saying if they play together.

Teams like New Jersey, New York, Cleveland, Chicago, and Miami have a lot of money to spend and can get two of these max guys.

This Celtics team has no way of stopping any sort of lethal one-two punch.

We need to get some young players that can eat minutes in the regular season. A young scorer in the draft could use next season to grow, and maybe add some minutes to next years playoffs.

I believe in Paul, I believe in Rondo, and i feel like KG will be better.

Let’s get this.

Not unless #19 turns out to be one of the 3 best players in the entire draft.

Our defense is great as always, but

We need a big perimeter player who can attack and get to the line.

This is really the last topic I want to see right about now. If you think this team is coming back intact next year after the enormous disappointment that was the regular season and now this game 7 debacle, I've got a timeshare to sell you down by the Florida keys .
Never stop believing baby~

Of course I disagree:

KG simply is not a good rebounder anymore. He can do it occasionally, but not on a regular basis.

I honestly do not think Ray is going to sign here.

Pierce is a year older and a year slower.

Perk is gong to be coming off a major knee surgery.

Bottom line is it is time to rebuild and Danny is the right man to do it.

I highly doubt any of those guys will be playing together. Way too much ego on one team. If it happens, it won't work. The C's got past D-Wade, Lebron, and Dwight. I'm really not too worried about making it out of the East next year. The Lakers should be scared of making it out of the West though.

They can do it with some big changes to the roster.

So you realistically think a team of upper 30s Pierce, Garnett, and Ray Allen can compete against a team of younger 20 somethings that most can't stop on a good day?

Its hard enough to scheme against one of those guys, forget both.

I'm saying this group needs to get younger to compete.  People keep saying, "Bring back Ray," etc.  You can't bring back Ray for the money hes going to make a get much younger.  If you sign Ray at 10 a year, you can only MLE someone, meaning you are getting a player of bench quality who is supposed to make a big-time difference.
