Settle down, guys.  You are starting to sound like the Laker fans.

I am as calm as a summer's morning.

If we play our game and keep our composure, we will win tonight. Got that?  We will win tonight.

For my part, I should clarify. I'm not so much nervous about losing, I'm nervous with anticipation - kind of like a kid getting excited to go to Disneyland for the first time. I agree with you RAcker - if we play like we're supposed to, we'll win. And I have a lot of faith that we'll play like we're supposed to.

Haha...  My point is.. I was way more nervous going into game 6.  That was a game that I thought we could win.  I figured it was game 6 or bust, because I saw no way Boston could possibly win game 7 in LA.   I've thought that the entire playoffs.   I was excited for Game 6 against Cleveland... I was excited for Game 6 against Orlando... and I was excited for game 6 against LA.   Well unfortunately that game was over in the 2nd quarter.  Kinda feel like we blew our chance.  I'm going through the motions now, but... Game 7 is here and my opinion hasn't changed.  Incredibly unlikely we win this.  Lakers are favored for a reason.

Hopefully Boston can shock the world like they did in 1969.  But I'm not holding my breath.

M y stomach is in knots, can't eat or focus on work(although being on here doesn't help).

Too many mixed emotions, I feel good about the chances but don't know if things are going to fall into place for them to win.

We need Sheed to stay out of foul trouble and we need rondo to be the first 3 rounds Rondo. We also cannot have PP and RA ice cold.

If these three things happen, we will win, but I don't know if all of them are going to come together tonight.

I believe 1st qtr is going to tell us if we are going to be in this not.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

ya know... i hate to sound pessimistic, but I really don't think Boston has a chance of winning this game.   I don't want to be a buzz-kill or anything... Obviously I'll be rooting like crazy for Boston and I'm excited for the game... but deep down I just don't think Boston has a chance at all to beat the Lakers at home.   Somehow, that makes me less nervous for the game.  A loss seems inevitable.    If somehow this game is close in the 4th quarter, i'll start hyperventilating at the chance to steal the title.  But I kinda think this game will go a lot like game 6, unfortunately.  I think we'll get down 15 out of the gate and the rest will just be pure frustration.

Really hope I'm wrong.

Well, if it makes you feel any better - we just beat LA at home a week or so ago, with KG on the bench most of the game due to the Refs.

I certainly understand your concern, though. You are not alone, buddy.

For some reason...I'm very calm right now.

This has never happened before. During the entire series I've been a nervous wreck. Unable to sleep, barely able to eat, and basically unable to function like a normal human being in society.

But today, I'm fine. Its weird.

By the way, I just threw up a little bit in my mouth because I'm so nervous.

TMI (But a TP for your "emotion devotion") ;)

How's this for TMI? I've had the runs the past week due to complete anxiousness and nervousness, today more than ever. Poppin Imodium like no other. I think i'm good. Go Celts!!!

That's exactly how i got my ticket for game 7 in NY for the 2004 ALCS.  Buddy was so nervous he had the runs and couldn't make the trip.  Yay runs!

;D   Sit on a strait back chair. Feet flat on the floor. Close eyes.   Deep breaths.  In through the nose.  Blow out through the mouth. Slow.   Deeper.  Again. Again. Again.  Again.

(In times of stress, repeat often.)

Feel better?  Enjoy the game.

These posts are too too funny. We have to remember we have 3 if not 4 HOFers playing tonight. The brotherhood of this team and what it means to them to clinch a win over the mountain of adversity will get them through it. They are not quitters and will grind it out, if they must. During game 6, Doc looked amazingly calm and relaxed given the situation the C's were in; almost like he expected what happened in game 6.

Remeber what Tommy Heinsohn said about silencing the opposing team's court, it sometimes was better than winning at home. Maybe winning on the Lakers' court is the adrenaline they need to rev them up. Who knows? We've been here before. None of these games have been predictable. Do not count them out just yet. They have the guts to win this last game. They know what is in store for them coming home to Boston.  GO CELTICS!

I don't know about you guys but these Playoffs have been the LOONGEST I can remember.  Seems like the Playoffs have been going on forever.

Win or lose, the season's  finally over tonight and I can get back to normal life...at least until the NFL starts up again.
