Kobe isn't going to get in foul trouble, no matter how many fouls he actually commits.  He's a superstar playing in Game 7; it's not happening.

As for Rondo, I agree that he needs to attack the defense.  However, he needs to attack smartly.  That means that he needs to attack to create opportunities for teammates, as much as for himself.  He can't go throwing up off-balance bank shots again that miss the hoop by four feet.

He should always attack to score, IMO. And when the defense commits to him, then he should find the open man. Too often, I think he attacks to pass (and the other team knows it) and ends up throwing the ball away. He needs to make a clear choice.

I don't think you need to make a clear choice.  I think you attack, and take what the defense gives you.  You can't force things either way.  Too often, Rondo has been attacking either for his own offense, OR to set up his teammates.  He's got to do both.

I think last game is an example of what happens when you're too aggressive in looking for your own offense.  We don't need any more of the weird, crazy-angled shots, and we don't need any random jumpers early in the shot clock.  Everything needs to be done within the flow of the offense, with the goal being to get the best shot possible, regardless of who is taking it.

I tend to think he attacks and takes those crazy shots so he doesn't draw contact and have to go to the line.

We also need other guys to be constantly moving without the ball.

They clogged our passing lanes pretty well last time and it was like everyone was waiting to see what the Lakers was going to give us.

Create those opportunities with good movement and screens.

Secondly no jump shots until someone is boxed out and in position for a second chance opportunity. (Which should be at all times seeing as how we will be starting two 7 footers)

That's assuming our offense has any flow to begin with.

The other part of the equation tonight is what the Lakers do with a heavy dose of KG and Sheed. Do the Lakers cover them away from the basket, or do they leave them alone and guard the rim? It seems likely that either Rondo should be able to get tot the rim or KG or Sheed should get a lot of wide open shots.
