The reason I give Rondo a negative because he is suppose to the be the one directing the offense.

May I should give the negative to Doc's sets instead. Having Rondo just hand the ball off and get out of the way is not an offense.

Or you could give some credit to the Lakers' D.

C's offense is making the Lakers D look better than it is.

Bynum should have declining effectiveness later in the game.

It seems to me we are sacrificing boxing out in order to challenge shots, and it is working for the most part. With the wear and tear on Bynum, I feel good with that continuing approach. If you have two guys forcing Kobe into a bad shot, it is unlikely that all other Lakers are accounted for on the rebound or that the bigs have been kept out of the lane.

Good point. I would gladly lose the rebounding battle if we can win the game.  We are giving them some bigtime trouble on shots and they've had to earn those rebounds.  Can we wear those guys down?

Just 5 seconds of footage and I'd definitely buy into a Waltons reality show.

I am expecting Kobe insanity in the third.  Got to weather it.  Counter it with Ray.  The more we keep a lead, the more they will rely on Kobe and the others will be out of the flow.

If Kobe stays human and Ray becomes human, we can stay in this one.

Hey all, I think it's time to reward your friends and fellow fans with a few replacement TPs before halftime.  I'm not trolling, so take care of others -- it's our last game baby!  Thanks all you folks for the camaraderie this year, I'm happy to share this last half with you!!!

Only way Kobe goes off is like he did in game... what was it... the one where he hit all those jumpers. He's gonna have to work really hard for it.

I'd just like to point out, as JVG has pointed out multiple times in this game, it's been a teanm defense on Kobe.  Ray has has lots of help. I'm not buying Ray's defense as an excuse for his offense.

This team will be the death of me...
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Long shots by the Lakers will result in long rebounds, and fast breaks.

No-one on the Lakers can stop a Rondo led fast break.

The initial D has to be good, though, and Ray is doing a FANTASTIC job of that. TA went in for a few minutes and allowed Kobe his best look of the night. A look he just wasn't getting with Ray in the game.

I'm in full agreement.  It's not an excuse.
