I gonna say Big Baby Davis and that's because it would fulfill a prophecy of mine, two years ago.

just glad we have a few options ..........

the lakers would go with bryant, most likely, and we would be whistled for a foul no matter what, most likely. how many 3-point attempts has bryant received three free throws on this series. i count at least three times and i'm pretty sure we didn't foul him on any of them.  one in particular, ray allen actually had his arms at his side when the whistle blew.

of all major sports, pro & college included, the nba has, hands down, the most incompetent officials by far. the funny thing is, seems to me back in the 70's & 80's, they were better.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

Ray -- he has the best matchup advantage (vs Fisher) and is one of the best clutch shooters in the league. Catch and shoot coming off a screen.

I would probably still go to Ray if they put Bryant on him so long as he had made a basket recently.

My second option would probably be Rondo in the pick and roll. Either with Garnett or Pierce (looking for the switch).

it would be the captain...on an iso ala vs miami game 3
No isolations against Ron Artest with the title on the line ... I do not like the percentages of that play working out.

Not knocking him but it would be difficult to get the ball from PP in such a situation.  He or Ray would be fine by me.  I'm thinking it'll be 'sheed winning it all for us

The only player I would be willing to see go one-on-one against their defender is Kevin Garnett. He is the only Celtics player who has consistently been able to score against mark in one-on-one play.

I want to see a catch and shoot for Ray or a pick and roll preferably led by Rondo with either Pierce or Garnett setting the pick.

Here's another question....

Is Rondo in the game on a last possesion?

If PP is going to be handeling the ball , wouldn't it make more sense to go with Nate instead of Rondo? He is a much better shooter and foul shooter than Rondo.

Final possesion lineup

PG: Nate
SG: Ray
SF: PP
PF: KG
 C: Sheed or BBD

I love the pick and roll with kg and PP that has been mentioned. You have Nate and BBD or Sheed spoting up, and ray trying to sneak to an open spot for the game winner. That gives you the best chance to hit a game winner IMO
If you go with an isolation for Pierce, or a pick and roll where Pierce or Ray is the ball-handler, I think you put Nate Robinson in the game instead of Rondo. I think Nate's shooting ability offers more in that situation than Rondo does. Also, a Garnett post up, Nate should be in.

If you're going with a catch and shoot for Ray, I would go with Rondo because he is the more reliable passer (even with Kobe playing off of him in the passing lanes) + more capable of changing plans and making something happen if the first option is not available. I don't trust Nate's decision making or passing ability enough to let him make either play.

I voted "other" because it should be the player with that's open for a good shot.

Not true. Remember the Baby jumper last year against Orlando?

Alley-oop to Rondo like we did against the Heat during the regular season... loved that play. He can easily out jump fisher.

I'd want Ray Allen to take the shot in any game except Game 7's, especially the Championship Game 7 where I'd go with Paul Pierce.
