Another rather bittersweet part of tomorrow night is that regardless of result, we're headed for an offseason of change (probably) and four months without basketball.

I'll be a lot more productive but, man, the end of the basketball season puts me in a more autumnal mood than the end of baseball season does.

As long as they leave it all on the floor in game 7 I have nothing to complain about.

I do love this team.

Ditto.
And, Ditto.
Celtics fan for life.

Thus far, the Celtics have accomplished all goals.  They have put themselves, in the last game of the season, in a place where they have a chance to win a championship, and they are one of only two teams to accomplish that.  The series is tied.  Bragging rights will be decided Thursday night.

There is only one step left...and, to be cliche, we are still in this hunt until the final buzzer.  I still believe we can and will win the whole thing.  I still think that I am being "realistic"!  How one can  show disappointment before the show is over is absolutely beyond my ken!

Don't play with fear, Celts.  Attack, defend, rebound, fast break.  Playing the half court game with so much length  and strength inside on the Lakers side is playing defeated.  Attack, attack, attack.

I was very disappointed by the lack of rebounds in the first half. They held their own in the second half, even without Perk.

But I agree, I love this team, and win or loose I'm going to enjoy watching them play one more time this season!! Go Celtics!

I love this team so much that I sometimes post from my cell phone. I love this team so much that I sometimes only sleep two or three hours a night to be able to watch. Today I had to work almost eight hours and go to a meeting after work. I love this team and I am truly proud to be a Celtics fan, win or lose.

This team inspires me. Every time they get knocked down, rather than get discouraged, they get right back up. That theme has paralleled my own life lately. I don't mean to suggest that my life is all that hard or bad - quite the opposite, my life is great overall - but this team inspires me to get up and move on whenever I get knocked off balance. For that reason, I love this team. But I also love them because they play the game the right way - it's a treat to watch them.

I was on them all year, because their effort was absolutely brutal. They lost bad games to really bad teams and they played like crap at home. I think it bugged me more, because as a season ticketholder I honestly felt shortchanged by this team and the organization. Despite all of this, my almost 50 years of following this team told me to renew my season tickets, so I did.

All of that said, their effort in the playoffs has been tremendous. They have played their way back deep into my heart. I will be disappointed if they lose Thursday, but not devastated. They have provided me with hours of entertainment the past 6 weeks and have played harder than I ever thought they could or would play.

Thank you, Celtics, and good luck Thursday night.
Oh, and Vinnie, although you have made me growl and grit my teeth on more than one occassion this season, I do appreciate your sentiment now.  TP.

"Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in getting up every time we do."

I'm pretty sure he was talking about the C's when he wrote that!
Stay classy, San Diego. Hello, Baxter? Baxter, is that you? Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee. Is this Wilt Chamberlain? Have the decency to say something.

I agree, but a loss here will be very tough.  This year, I could deal with the Sox and/or Patriots losing it in the Finals or even having a poor year, but this team has little, if any, time left.  If they don't win tomorrow, it may be a very, very long time before we're in this position again.

Agreed Jon, but I think that is one of the fun things about sports. If a team has a smart general manager and solid ownership, it is fun watching the team rebuild. I am really looking forward to see what Danny does, regardless of what happens tomorrow night. Go Celts!

I know the post-season run is special because we didn't expect it based on the regular season. But had we beat some of those inferior teams a few more times Game 7 would be on our court tomorrow night.

You can never underestimate home court advantage. I know we didn't have it in the previous two series but Game 7 on the opponents floor is tough, very very tough.
