I want a win, but win or lose, I LOVE this team

I was on them all year, because their effort was absolutely brutal. They lost bad games to really bad teams and they played like crap at home. I think it bugged me more, because as a season ticketholder I honestly felt shortchanged by this team and the organization. Despite all of this, my almost 50 years of following this team told me to renew my season tickets, so I did.

All of that said, their effort in the playoffs has been tremendous. They have played their way back deep into my heart. I will be disappointed if they lose Thursday, but not devastated. They have provided me with hours of entertainment the past 6 weeks and have played harder than I ever thought they could or would play.

I still think we have a decent shot at a win on Thursday but if this is the end for Doc and Ray and the title window is closing, it's been a heartening three years and a great chapter in Celtics history. And I'll be excited to see where the team goes from here.

In my opinion their poor showing the regular season actually made the playoffs more enjoyable.

When a team you are supporting wins and you weren't expecting it I think it's more satisfying than if you did expect it. If the C's had lost I wouldn't have been surprised due to the regular season, but had they lost after having the best regular season record I would be crushed.

This has lead to a fun playoff ride which is why I love this team.
