Say they have no Bynum and we have no Perk. Who does the advantage go to? This is really becoming an embarrassment. Celts pretty much ahve quit.
Andrew Bynum is a bigger loss than Perkins.

I would consider the Celtics the favourite in that scenario.
C -- Sheed vs Pau
PF -- Garnett vs Odom
SF -- Pierce vs Artest
SG -- Ray vs Kobe
PG -- Rondo vs Fisher
-----------------------------
I think the Celtics have an advantage in the backcourt are fairly even in the frontcourt.

Maybe a slight advantage there too depending on how well Sheed plays defensively.

Pierce will also have an easier time against Artest without Bynum back there + with the threat of Sheed's jumper on the pick and roll/pop.
-----------------------------

Reserve Big -- Davis vs Powell/Mbenga
Reserve Wing -- TA vs Walton/Brown
Reserve Guard -- Nate vs Farmer
-----------------------------
I think the Celtics have an advantage with their backup big man and potentially on the wing.

Talent wise, the guards are fairly even but both players are inconsistent and Nate is very explosive.
-----------------------------

So, overall, I think the Celtics would have a good advantage versus the Lakers if neither Bynum or Perkins played.

C's showing much better fight.  Good to see before game 7.

Pierce can't buy a foul on a drive tonight.

After that sequence of events tell me this game isn't rigged. I DARE YOU!

Obvious push off on Kobe, Blatant shooting foul missed on Pierce's drive, ghost foul on Ray Allen...

i agree that PP can't buy a call in the paint....but the celts are currently losing this game on their own, it has nothing to do with the refs.

only good that will come out of this game is the fact boston will be more focused for game 7.

Man, I hope so!  That is, if there is a game 7 . . .  ;)

2 TPs or everyone who posts the "Cut me, Mick" pic.

Come on, good people of Celticsblog.

I was hoping for at least one response. I guess the Celtic players are not the only ones who have already given up.

  • ANYTHING is posssiiibbbbllee
Ray Allen has been our best player all night on offense, so we have him stand in the corner and not even move. BRILLIANT.

And Doc Rivers high fiving and patting our players on their backs is ridiculous. We are down 19 points in a ginormous game and haven't stopped anything on defense and have given little effort. Yet we are going to applaud the players?

  • You say when......
we actually should be doing better with the trade off of perk for bynum....that is usually what the coach does anyway, pull one, when the other is off.....well, we did have perk shutting down gasol......forgot about that, that did work well........sheed did some good on gasol last time....with help....TA, ect...

In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

The only thing that really worries me about a Game 7 is you know we're getting Bennett Salvatore and Bill Kennedy for refs.

It is pointless to watch this game now. I can guarantee you that every time the Lakers fail to score there will be a foul called. We've shot 4 foul shots the entire game, and two of these have been on a defensive three.

Can we just all agree that the referees will not allow a comeback, and give our players some rest? Seriously.
