Why was Perk not playing in the 4th?

I only got to catch the end of the 3rd and the whole 4th quarter because I was in class until late, so why did Perk not play in what seemed like the entire 4th quarter?

Because his offense stinks and Baby was getting us back in the game.  What we needed was TA instead of Ray.

Perk has been playing terribly and really escaping blame for our shortcomings.

Baby was incredible tonight - apart from a couple of unfortunate offensive fouls.

Perk hasn't shown up yet.

Perkins hasn't done much of anything useful for the team for the most part. He's a big baby and his crying to officials may cost the team dearly. He turns the ball over, gets his shots blocked and can't even play enough good defense at times and gets out rebounded.

But I'm ready to see him moved this summer.

Too limited offensively.  Too much of a hothead.

And he still has good value around the league.

Not saying you give him away, but if the rumors are true, Ainge was on the right track shopping him for Boozer, IMHO.

He has become a major obstacle for this team on the offensive end with his ineptitude. Seven years in the league and he still insists on putting the ball on the floor after the catch. Amazing.

He should have played more in the 4th.  Davis did his job great, but at that point, they were not going to him offensively. 


They could have used Perk's length on Gasol allowing KG to defend Odom who was getting off to much.  They needed stops as much as they needed points.

He'll also be looking for a large raise after 2011. We like/love him at $4M per. At $7.5M... not so much.

Thats what I thought while I watched the game. We had scorers in and neede a defesive presence in there. You cannot have Davis guarding Gasol like what happened last night.

Maybe I was a little harsh...  How about the '87 version of Artis Gilmore that had hands of stone.  But seriously, this guy needs to be STRONG with the basketball.  He's getting raped by people because he can't hold onto the basketball.  I'd love for McHale to work with just to teach him how to do this.  'Sheed is great at being strong with the basketball, keeping the ball high.  It's as if Perk has worked so hard on getting his body in shape that his game never quite caught up to that. 

I swear we could sign Desagana Diop for so much less and get the same results...

While his hands needs to get better, he could have helped down the stretch get one or two more stops.
