CHYEAH!

Am I mistaken or did he get to 6 in the 2008 finals?

I'm sure I remember a time he got close before this.

Ray is The Man!! Mr. Smooth ... Mr. Class, I love this guy, and if we don't keep him, I'll be very, very upset. I want to see #20 in the rafters of the Garden!

It was 7 in 2008. So the record he broke tonight was his own, only he shared it with Kenny and Pippen.

Ray's amazing.  He's not as good as he once was, but when he is on... he's on.

In Seattle he seemed to shoot a lot more off the dribble.  Check the beginning of this video:

He now pretty much exclusively comes off screens. This game tonight reminded me of the night Ray had 54 while playing for the Sonics.  They were down 9 with a couple minutes left... Ray wouldn't give up.  When he's feeling it like that... he doesn't miss.

Amazing performance by Ray. Totally unstoppable, so smooth and so cold-blooded... that's part of the reasons why Ray is my favorite player but I loved how he finally got some national recognition, like people started thinking "wow, this guy is really good" because he usually is overlooked or underrated.

Ray's career performances in the Finals are really amazing, I think he is shooting right above 50% from three in the Finals!!

Kevin Arnovitz breaks down Ray's threes. Great stuff from the True Hoop blog.

The best part of the early 3s is how much flopping Fisher was doing to create contact with the screener of trying to stick with Ray.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

I know it sounds crazy but Ray's shooting touch looks even prettier in that super slow mo video from the NBA :

This video is awesome, you can see how great his shooting touch is and how clean his shots are (they never touch the rim, pure swish!). The slow mo on the players' facial reactions are fun too (most notably the Captain from the bench on the second or third three pointer, and Shannon Brown's shocked look after every three pointer :D).

This is a pretty amazing video of ray explaining the 'art of shooting'. Skip to the 3:00 minute mark if you dont want to see Arenas (though he has a pretty amazing schedule aswell).
