On another note, anyone watching Postgame Live on CSN notice that oddly dressed reporter? When Kobe was on the podium, he called him "Kob"!

I hate to compliment the opponent, especially when we won, but........

I want to handcuff Kendrick Perkins to a chair, tape his eyes open, and force him to watch tape for at least a 24 hour period, of how Andrew Bynum handles the ball.  He catches it high up in the air, leaves it high up in the air, and not only does it never go below his shoulders, it never gets within a foot of even being near his head.

Perk could be a much more effective player on offense if he could just adopt that, but then again, all of us Celtic fans have been saying this about Perk FOREVER!!!!

Good Point.

The odd thing about Perk is that he was in fact doing this at the start of the season - keeping the ball high.

He didn't play a bad game, but he needs to get back to doing what he did several months ago.

He's only 25? I guess bad habits are hard to break.

Tyronne Lue can earn his money as a coach by bringing Perk in over the summer, and just run drills over and over and over again tossing high passes to Perk as he runs down the lane, passes that are high enough for him to catch up high, work on getting him to keep the ball up high and finish with the ball up high.  As much attention as every other player gets offensively on the Celtics Im sure a play like that would be open every time when Rondo and Perk bring the ball back down after an opponents made basket.

Im not trying to claim to be a basketball coach or anything, just seems logical.

Lakers fans all over the internet are complaining about the refs for their "game changing late game" missed call on the Gasol/KG out of bounds play that was reviewed and determined to have not been clear cut enough to overturn the on the court call of off Gasol.

Strangely enough, none of those Laker fans have any comment regarding the free throw discrepancy or Kobe's obvious 6th foul that the refs swallowed their whistle on for fear of being fired immediately by David Stern for fouling out one of the chosen two.

A reporter in the post game presser asked Doc are superstars like Kobe and LeBron more likely to get called for a sixth foul once they pick up their 5th foul, les likely to pick it up or it does matter. Doc grinned. Laughed. Told the reporter he already answered the question himself. And then said, I think you asking the question already answered it and laughed and left the press conference.

I laughed as well. TP Doc.

the lakers did get screwed on a few calls, esp. the kg/pau out-of-bounds play that was reviewed. however, they got a lot more calls in their favor. the refs put our entire front court in foul trouble early with touch fouls or phantom fouls. they erased clean blocks for us, while not calling fouls on LA inside (part of why they got so many blocks). so, i get the lakers fans being angry about a few of the calls, but had the game been called somewhat close-to-even, the lakers would not have had a shot in this game at all.

TP. Couldn't agree more. Perk did make some much needed free throws at the end though!

Yeah I'll concede giving them the ball on that possession if they concede giving us the points back that they got on free throws from those phantom foul calls on the blocks by Pierce on Artest and Big Baby on Bynum...... Congrats LA all that arguing got you negative 2 more points, assuming you even score on that possession you get back.

The refs have been HORRIBLE on both sides, for both games.  Which is really embarrassing if you're the NBA.

speaking of kobe bryant on the podium - he showed again one of the main reasons i don't like the guy personally.

he acts like it is beneath him to have to answer the media's questions. same is true of phil jackson, but kobe is just openly defiant and has this attitude that "hey, i'm angry cause we lost, so don't dare ask me a question."

it's one thing to be cocky - it's another thing to have that condescending, i'm-above-all-this attitude that kobe always exhibits.

just like before the series started he gives these answers that "oh, the history of this rivalry is irrelevant to me ....... doesn't mean anything special that we are playing the Celtics or that we are playing the team that beat us badly two years ago."

what a fake, phony, fraud !!

The game is being replayed on ESPN right now, (though they will probably edit it for "time constraints" as usual).

The amount of fouls that have been called in these first two games, (112 in 96 minutes!), is just absurd ... let 'em play a little, man!

That's one of my favorite pictures ever. The looks they both have are priceless. If somebody will make a poster of this picture, I'll buy it and put in my room forever and ever.
