up only 9 and ray has 7 threes... uh.

I agree -- other than Ray, for the most part the rest of the team has played less than good. And Kobe has nothing for the Lakers and Celts still up only 9.

Eh...  Part of the reason the other guys on the court don't look great is because Ray is getting the majority of the shots.  Ray has 14 shots; Paul, Perk, KG, and the entire bench have 15.  It's hard to look great when you don't have the ball (because Ray has been dominant).

The one guy who has to pick up his offensive game is Rondo.  3-for-10 isn't getting it done, even though he's made some fantastic passes.

Sure if anyone else showed up, we'd be winning by 20.

Biggest thing I see, if we REBOUND we're up by 20.  It's been so painful to watch.

And just like that, 14 to 6.  I don't care how well Ray played, we still deserve to lose.  I expect us to lose.  That was so pathetic.  This is easily the maddest I've been all playoffs and WE'RE WINNING.  Thats how much I've felt this half has been fools gold.

Still rebounding like crap, still too sloppy on offense, playing like we want to lose in the final minutes of the half.

Awful.

Ok, some sloppy plays on offense... up by 9 they could have secured a double digit lead.

Great defense in the end of the first and start of the second quarter... Rondo needs to rest some, he's been a bit off in the last 5 minutes.

Keep playing defense, this Lakers seem more human today, and one lucky shot from the All-time All-NBA All-fakers All-MVP and self entitled player won't change the main story. Celtics Defense wins games and championships. Keep it up.

KG is going to be huge in the 3rd quarter, and it wouldn't hurt either if Shelden gives Gasol the McHale treatment  ;)

Can't overestimate the impact of Shelden Williams horrible stretch at the end of the half.  He's the reason the Lakers scored the last 7 points of the half.

Granted he's been sitting so long, but he flat out sucked.

Disgusting.  We just handed the Lakers three points, and they have all the momentum going into the half.

I don't know about that.  Now Doc has exhibit A for what happens when our players relax.  And I sure as heck wouldn't want to allow something like that to happen again.

And it really shows what a different level Kobe is on compared to Shelden and TA -- he's hawkin' and they're closing out the half.

Not feeling terribly good about his. We shot the lights out  and are only up six. We'll need to suck it up in the third or the fourth will be ugly.

And can they please stop those long outlet passes.

no rebounds, no win.
no rebounds, no title

Lakers are down but know they can win this thing easy. Ray won't stay hot and they own the boards. The only way Boston can win this thing is to dominate the boards. So disappointing to watch Ray go lights out and have a six point lead.

Trying not to be pessmistic, but it isn't easy....

Big thanks to Doc for some of the worst rotational decisions of the entire playoffs ... as soon as Sheldon came into this game the defense went down the toilet, quickly followed at the other end. If he plays Sheldon in the second half we're screwed! Ugh!!!

The minute Shelden came in, all the momentum went to the Lakers.  I don't want to see him in another game! >:(  Suit up Scal.

Wow this site is so slow it's ridiculous!  Took me 10 minutes to make this post.

sheldon's play down the stretch was awful, BUT he shouldn't have even been in the game. KG got called for 3 TERRIBLE fouls. if KG doesn't get those nonsense calls, sheldon would have been where he should have been on this game...the bench.

Oh come on now. Turn that frown upside-down. We closed out the quarter poorly but our D is playing well. Much better compared to the first game. Bad rebounding and turnovers, both of which were greatly effected by the foul trouble on all our bigs--leaving Sheldon to be deficient in both those categories has been what has hurt us.

Maybe I'm a fool, but I am optimistic. We're playing well. Up in the game. Could be up more yes, but the defense is strong. Rebound and eliminate turnovers and I like whats going on.

Oh well, I don't expect anything like you do but there has been a lot of good in this first half. I'm not throwing it all out because of those last two minutes.

Who else should play? KG and Baby are in fou trouble...
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

He never will, but Doc needs to put some serious thought in playing Sheed more minutes than Perk.

Perk has been dreadful so far in this series.
